***Update after business response*** Per Kansas Secretary of State: Kellogg Hospitality business license registered with the Kansas Secretary of State is still active and associated with the 6815 W Kellogg address. Per Kansas Department of Agriculture: Nguyen Golden Hotel is OPERATING WITH NO LODGING LICENSE and has several violations. Screenshots included for proof. Same Owners, New Name I want to begin by saying that this review does not reflect poorly on every staff member. During my several-month stay when this property operated as the Red Roof Inn & Conference Center, the Latina housekeeping team and the Latino maintenance worker were consistently kind, hardworking, trustworthy, and professional. Several front desk attendants were also wonderful to interact with. However, it is important for future guests to understand that although the hotel has changed its name, the ownership remains the same. The property was previously operated by Kellogg Hospitality LLC, under owners Karnail Singh, Naresh Patel, and Jigna Patel. The newly named hotel has simply rebranded after losing the Red Roof franchise—the building, the owners, and much of the furniture and infrastructure are unchanged. 📌Condition of the Hotel When we lived here for 5–6 months while relocating to Kansas, the hotel was heavily worn down and outdated. Many online photos did not match reality. Multiple advertised amenities were permanently nonfunctional: • The swimming pool was drained and in long-term disrepair • Ice machines were permanently broken • On-site restaurants had been closed for years • The “gym” consisted of one aging elliptical 📌 New Management: Same Owners, Worse Atmosphere Around the New Year, new on-site managers, Meet and his elderly parents, who are personal associates of the owners—began running day-to-day operations. This change immediately made the hotel feel less welcoming. While guests and most staff consistently treated each other with courtesy, Meet and his parents were frequently unfriendly, unresponsive to greetings, and openly hostile. Their behavior included: ✅ Ignoring or refusing to acknowledge “hello” or “good morning” ✅ Glaring at guests from doorways, hallways, and the housekeeping supply room ✅ Eavesdropping on personal conversations ✅ Watching guests come and go in a way that felt intrusive rather than protective ✅ Making verbal accusations against guests without proof of any wrongdoing and when given proof of innocence, no apologies were made. The tone they set was the opposite of hospitality. 📌Housekeeping Intrusions & New Policies Under the previous management, housekeeping could be declined or scheduled. Under Meet and his parents: ✅ Housekeeping became mandatory every other day, at unpredictable times ✅ Guests were forced to accommodate the schedule regardless of work, medical needs, or sleep ✅ Meet’s parents entered guest rooms without announcement, accompanying housekeeping to “inspect” rooms • They examined personal belongings • They removed supplies like towel sets or toilet paper if, in their opinion, a room “had too much” This policing of supplies, down to two towels per day, was demeaning and unnecessary. The excellent housekeeping staff was visibly micromanaged and overworked under these new rules, treated more like servants than employees. 📌Final Thoughts The hotel is affordable and can serve as temporary housing for those in transition. However, the deeply unprofessional and intrusive behavior of the current management combined with long-standing safety concerns, made our stay increasingly stressful. Because the same owners still operate the hotel under its new name, and the largest issues were tied to management style and operational decisions, I unfortunately cannot recommend this property under any branding. I will not be staying here again, nor booking with this ownership group in any future travels. Hospitality should be centered on professionalism, respect, and guest comfort—none of which were priorities under the management in place during our stay.

I’ve stayed here when it was a Red Roof. I wish the new owners would fix/update the rooms (toilet paper falling off wall, toilet leaking at the bottom, faucet not connected to sink, etc.)rather spend money on painting it a neon yellow and putting plastic flowers outside of each room (kind of gaudy, actually). And the’ve let the nice grass field go unkept, which is unfortunate for those of us that travel with dogs.

Can't tell you much about the place, I went there for a party. The party was held in the conference room. The conference room was large enough for more than 50(ish) people and there was a second room also in use attached to the conference room. The second room was as large as the first. If you need space for people, this could be the place you want.
