Taylor (Taylor)2 weeks agoThis is not a hotel I would recommend if you are a solo traveler. The hotel itself is nice, and my room, while a bit small, was also pleasant. My biggest issue was the misleading marketing. Urban Yard claims to be close to major tourist sites, but in reality, it's quite far from everything Brussels has to offer. On top of that, it's located in a bad area of town, which made walking back and forth a real concern, especially after a day of shopping. I didn't feel comfortable walking around the neighborhood at all, which was a major inconvenience and left me relying on Uber for every trip. The hotel also appeared to need a 24-hour security guard, which only added to my unease. What bothered me most, though, was that Urban Yard actively promotes itself as a great option for solo travelers, I couldn't disagree more. On two separate occasions it sounded as though someone was attempting to enter my room. I did not feel safe staying there.
Fidan Gadzhieva2 months agoOverall, we had a very good stay. Everything was very clean, which we really appreciated. The staff at the reception were polite and friendly. There was no kettle in the room at first, but we called the front desk and they brought one right away, which was great. The location is also convenient — close to Gare du Midi, and about a 20–25 minute walk to the city center.
Gera Veenema6 months agoStayed here for one night and had a lovely stay. The room was clean and spacious and the staff was friendly! Breakfast was also great and the hotel has a nice ambiance. However, the location is not the best. The neighbourhood is quite rough. But if you arrive not very late it will be allright.
Osama Mohameda month agoI would say one of the best experiences, the hotel staff so friendly -sorry my memory doesn’t help me with the names- super clean, and I forgot to ask about the room perfume that you use once we enter the reception it doesn’t go out of my nose till now? 😅 anyway good tidy experience! The area was ok for us.
Merijn de Groot5 months agoNice hotel. Unlike the other reviews the neighborhood did not feel unsafe. Especially when you keep to the main roads. Bodyguard stayed the entire night (i think) which also amounted to the feeling of safety. Hallways are very noisy tho, woke up a few times in the night.
