Ricky Cawley2 months agoWell maintained 36 hole golf course. Pace of play was fine. The starters were very friendly and accommodating. Pro shop staff were fine. Its a busy place, so I get it. The grill staff and snack bar staff at the turn were great. Prices at the grill and snack bar are fair. Parking might seem like a pain but if you drive past the club house there is a lot more parking. The practice facility is nice. It was mats only when I visited but they have a large driving range. I imagine its difficult to maintain that grass with 36 holes and consistent tee times. The range balls are free with a tee time booking. Be prepared to check yourself for ticks if you venture into the rough to attempt to find or retrieve your ball. I brought two home.
lindsey c2 months agoNice golf course, good greens, and interesting wildlife out here! We saw some interesting squirrels, a turtle, and some sheep. It’s a little bit of a crowded layout. It’s so close together, a lot of balls are hit onto other holes so watch out! Overall really great experience. The ladies in the grill are straight up PROs at what they do. The Cart girl was great and helped us get a cooler. We didn’t meet 1 employee here that was even subpar. They were all very happy working here! Or seemingly so.
Andrew Rudnik2 months agoTop to bottom this place gets 5 stars. The course is impeccable, the customer service is top notch and the value cannot be beat. My golf group has been to countless cities and courses and this is now on the top of our list. We are considering returning next year and just staying on property. The little things they do like a 87 cent beer for showing your score card was just icing on the cake. Well done Hermitage staff!
Eric Murphy (Murphdogg76)2 months agoWhat a gorgeous piece of property! 24 of us rented a lodge and challet for a 3 day golf event and had an absolute blast. The rooms were awesome!! We played ultimately 5 rounds of golf on the Generals Retreat and the Presidential Reserve and was 100% blown away by how amazing this course is. The club house and restaurant was also perfection and the staff was amazing. This is a must see!!!!
Jason Sibley2 months agoGreat golf trip with friends. Highly recommend staying on property in the new lodges. President’s Reserve course is an excellent challenging layout with large fast greens. Read the local rule for unmarked monkey grass shrubs on the edge of nearly every hole, which is played as a hazard.
