⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tanganyika Wildlife Park exceeded every expectation I had and delivered one of the most memorable wildlife experiences I've ever had. During my visit, I had the opportunity to feed a white tiger, pet and feed endangered white rhinos, meet giraffes up close, interact with ring-tailed lemurs, and feed colorful lorikeets. Every encounter felt personal, educational, and thoughtfully managed by an incredible team of animal care professionals. What impressed me most was the obvious dedication to both animal welfare and conservation. The keepers took time to explain each encounter, answer questions, and share how Tanganyika works with other organizations to support breeding programs and help protect healthy genetic diversity for endangered species. Their passion for the animals was evident throughout the day. The park itself is clean, beautifully maintained, and designed to provide unique experiences that simply aren't available at most traditional zoos. Whether you're visiting with children, traveling as a couple, or, like me, exploring as an adult wildlife enthusiast and photographer, there's something truly special here. If you're anywhere near Wichita—or even if you're planning a road trip across Kansas—Tanganyika Wildlife Park is absolutely worth making a destination. I would return in a heartbeat, and I highly recommend adding one or more of the premium animal encounters to your visit. They're unforgettable. Thank you to the entire Tanganyika Wildlife Park team for creating such an amazing experience. I can't wait to come back!
I first was interested in this place when I saw a video about swimming with penguins. My husband and I have been saving up for this to be our anniversary trip this summer ever since. We got the Best Day Bundle which sadly didn't include the swimming deals. Worth $700+ for the two of us for the day? maybe not, but when you break it down, it was a great experience and we want to come back with more family! They have scheduled events throughout the day like feedings and demos to keep you occupied between meals and animal encounters. My husband got the Cheetah Behind the Scenes tour since the Big Cat feeding was full, which he liked the best. I did the penguin meet and greet which was ok, I wish it was more interactive, we just used cat toys to play with them. We both did the otter art, which I thought would include us hanging out with them running around on us and such, but it's all separated from their enclosure; I did enjoy it more than the penguins though, and we get to bring home a paw print painting. All the staff were friendly and informative! The meals and snacks included were good. There's a small drink menu that's included, there are more for purchase. Shout-out to Phoebe with the cheetahs, Taylor and Alex with the otters, and the guy with the giraffes and lemurs (Matthias?)!
Our visit to the Tanganyika Wildlife Park and our "Mars experience" exceeded all of our expectations. Every member of your team was so friendly and helpful! This visit was a gift to me from my daughter since she knew how much I wanted to see Mars in person! We enjoyed every minute of our visit and the interactions with all of your lovely animals. My daughter loves tortoises (she has a sulcata), so she really enjoyed meeting Emmit and the Aldabras! Thank you for a wonderful time!
absolutely the most fun I've had in ages. Everyone was very knowledgeable and answered questions and taught us about who we were seeing. Garrian in lorikeets was amazing. Robert taking care of the birds was able to stop and talk about the frog mouths. Each of the animal experiences people were amazing!! Kept running into Kate and she was super sweet!
We drove up from Texas and were bummed the park closed early today. We still got to have some fun. The people that helped us feed the animals were so nice! Grace at the Giraffes was so sweet telling us all about her favorites! Who knew Kangaroo's were so soft?! Mars wasn't able to come out, but they have great customer service that will bring us back for sure. Gluten free options were very appreciated and turkey sandwich was great!! Gift shop had some fun stuff - reasonably priced compared to our experiences. Thanks Starrlynn(sp?) and Hannah for taking care of us! You really made us have a great experience! See y'all in the fall 💜
