The hotel is nice enough. Not hard to get to, has clean rooms, a very nice lobby and facilities, and a decent breakfast bar. But the hallways are ancient: frayed carpet, extremely dated paint, with noticeable chips in places. At least one elevator was completely out of service. The climate control in the rooms was completely unpredictable. I was staying in the hotel for a convention. A number of our party, myself included, could not get the temperature in the rooms to lower despite how far down we tuned the thermostat. For example, I have the thermostat in my room turned down to 62, with the fan on constant. I had the setting switched to cool. But for my entire stay, the room remained in the lower 80s. The same is true for other members of our party. At the same time, different persons complained at the convention of rooms that were too cold, and their inability to warm them up. The hotel needs to get to the bottom of this HVAC problem. Overall, it was not a bad experience, but this review comes from someone who was hardly in the hotel at all, except for breakfast and sleep. One of my colleagues use the workout facilities, and she had no complaints that I know of. If you want someplace not terribly expensive and good enough, this is for you. But beware the thermostats.
The person in the sales office was great and very helpful. The front desk nor the cleaning personnel spoke English hardly at all. The room was old and the filter for the air was plugged up so it was hot and humid in the room. Breakfast was good and enjoyable. My husband had just came out of surgery, and they got us in a couple hours early, which is where the surgical center sent us for a special rate, since we had not planned on having to stay but was recommended by the surgical center after the surgery he had as opposed to driving him home 3 hours. Pillows are HORRIBLE, bed was Super firm, it was clean and well furnished, we had a king handicap room, no walk in shower though which was disappointing.
Booked with my points on my Chase Saphire Card, arrived today and the parking lot was empty, which seemed strange. Made sense when I went to the front door and said it closed on March 26th. You'd think Radisson, which had my email, would send an email back on the 26th stating the hotel had closed giving travelers like myself sufficient time to rebook somewhere else. Nope. So as it is had to quickly find something and ended up at horrible hotel across the street.
Never again. The hotel is old not kept up and very humid. Wouldn’t be surprised if there was mold. Don’t know whose idea it was to build rooms that overlook the lobby where the swimming pool is… but that doesn’t help the humidity in the building. It’s also very loud. Not a fan very misled by the photos on Expedia and upset tht I booked here.
Worst hotel customer service I’ve had to deal with. Booked a room online. Showed front desk girl my reservation confirmation but she said her system was slow and wasn’t showing my reservation yet. She asked me to wait 15 minutes in the lobby. I checked in 15 minutes and the reservation still hadn’t come through in her system and she said she couldn’t use my confirmation or emailed receipt to override her system and give me the room I had already paid for. An hour later I had the app I purchased the reservation through give me a refund in credit to go to a different hotel. I’m exhausted and frustrated. Also the parking lot has big potholes and is very poorly lit. The front entrance is uninviting especially compared to the hotel across the street. I recommend avoiding this hotel unless you like paying for rooms you never get to see.
