Brett Adam Lamborn8 years agoNewman is a beautiful, small Catholic University just southwest of downtown Wichita. The campus is intimate, faculty friendly and the facilities mostly new or recently renovated.
Paul Sevarta year agoI think I would've had a better college experience going anywhere else. More expensive for classes that don't help, tiny campus, everyone's on a sports team so good luck trying to make new friends if your not on one. They gutted my major while I was taking it which made the rest of my time there confusing. Definitely look around the other Wichita colleges before deciding on Newman. The cross country team and it's coaches are cool though
Jose Luis de Mesa Galindo12 years agoGreat University and amazing people. At first I thought that it was not my place, but definitely the best choice I have ever made so far in my life. Faculty is amazing. They help you every time you need them and even if you do not need them they offer to help at any time. Staff is also amazing. My first semester was a little bit frustrating for me because my accent was very strong and it was hard to communicate others. They took the time to understand me and listen to me patiently. The student population is awesome because they are very social and want to do things all the time. Regarding the classes and academic level, I loved it. Classes are challenging but teachers help you any time you need. There are also tutors available in case you cannot meet with the teachers. Facilities are also very nice and what else can I say...I would totally recommend this university. Contact me if you need more information!
Robby Crowe2 years agoHorrible college, look elsewhere! I took some classes there, and my father (whom I was the primary caregiver) was in and out of the hospital, leading to a couple of bad grades. I have since retaken those courses, and about to wrap up an associate degree to transfer, and unlike other colleges this place will not make any exceptions on academic renewal/forgiveness. Not to mention they were extremely rude and unpleasant, stating I only had 1 year to appeal my grade which is ridiculous. It’s not like I was asking for a refund, just for the classes in question to be cleaned up off my transcript and allow me to reflect the 4.0 GPA I should have.

I did not attend Newman University, but I work very closely with Music Theater department faculty and students throughout the year. The fall musical, seasonal concerts, and Spring Show are always of the highest quality! It's an honor to work with such dedicated and talented people. When the time comes (several years from now), I'd be thrilled if either of my kids decided to to attend Newman University!
