Housekeeping is attentive, ensuring a clean and comfortable environment daily. Plus, the hotel is pet-friendly, which is a significant plus for travelers with furry companions. The only downside is the concrete flooring in the rooms, which might feel a bit stark, but the cushy slippers provided help mitigate this issue.

  ⸻ I stayed at the hotel over the weekend in Room 1017 on the nights of May 29 and May 30. I booked the reservation using my Chase Sapphire Reserve card through the Chase Travel program. One of the benefits associated with this booking is late checkout (in this case, 4 pm) at hotels designated as part of The Edit collection, which this hotel is. On the day of checkout, I went out for brunch and returned to the hotel around 2:00 p.m. When I got back, even though there was a do not disturb sign on the door, the housekeeping was already cleaning my room despite my eligibility for late checkout. While housekeeping was in the room, I noticed that two shopping bags containing items I had purchased over the weekend were missing. I asked the housekeeper about them, and she said she would check with someone. The bags were later returned with the contents intact. However, I then realized that my phone charger was missing. It is the only charger I had with me and the one I had been using throughout my stay, so I know it was in the room. When I asked the housekeeper about it, she said she did not know where it was and was not even sure there had been a charger there. I reported the issue to the front desk, and they unsuccessfully attempted to locate a replacement charger for me (I got a cord but no cube). While waiting, I discovered that additional items were missing from my backpack, including my Beats headphones and a portable charger. At that point, it became clear that property had been removed from my room during housekeeping service. I reported everything to the front desk and explained that, while I did not expect the missing items to be recovered, I believed there was a serious issue that management should investigate regarding the housekeeping staff. The hotel itself is very nice, and I otherwise enjoyed my stay. I would consider staying here again, but given this experience, I would be much more careful to secure all of my belongings.

  We had an amazing stay at the Kimpton Santo in San Antonio. From the moment we arrived, everything felt elevated, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. The hotel is beautiful, with a perfect blend of modern luxury and Texas charm, and every detail seemed carefully considered. The staff was genuinely friendly, attentive, and professional, making us feel well cared for throughout our visit. Our room was spotless, stylish, and comfortable, with a great bed and all the little touches that made the stay feel special. The atmosphere throughout the property was relaxed yet refined, and it created the perfect setting for a memorable getaway. The location was also fantastic, making it easy to enjoy the best of San Antonio while still feeling like we had a peaceful retreat to return to. Whether it was the service, the style, or the overall experience, everything exceeded our expectations.

  I just checked out of the Kipton Santo and WOW. I travel a LOT for work and have been in 100+ hotels across the country and this stay has hands down been my favorite experience. EVERYONE is SO friendly and so helpful and the food is incredible! Not just the best hotel food I’ve had but some of the best FOOD I’ve had! I came in late and got the steak and fries my first night and was blown away. And dont even get me started on the cocktails (A+ bartender). Overall this place is an 11/10. The rooms are clean, the amenities are great (they offer you an array of items you can check out on loan if you forgot your own), the food is amazing, and the staff is fantastic. I wish I got names so I could name drop but it really doesn’t matter because it really is everyone I encountered. If I’m ever back in San Antonio again I will absolutely be staying here again.

  First time at this hotel with our two kids and our huge Bernese Mountain Dog and we had an amazing time. First, the hotel is walking distance to the Riverwalk and that opens up tons of options. Second, the fact that they welcomed us with our huge dog and actually have a pet relief area outside is a huge plus. They even provided a large dog bed to accomodate him! Third, I was impressed with the cleanliness and modern look of this place, the rooms smelled great. Fourth, the Dean's Steakhouse Restaurant has amazing food and it's so convenient for us with families. We have been to many San Antonio hotels, including most luxury hotels in the area and this one impressed us a lot! We will definitely return. Highly recommend it!
