Andre Kochetov2 months agoIt is a living museum or a Native American village from 1850s. Right at the entrance you'll see the Gallery of Nations with 549 flags representing the recognized by the US Government tribes of the Native American Nations. The center also shows the works of great artists such as Woody Crumbo, Blackbear Bosin, and Jerome Tiger. I did not have a chance but, if you come at the right time, a powwow traditional dancing takes place every year.
Jen Muldera month agoThis is an amazing place to learn about American Indian/Native American/Indigenous people’s history. I’ve taken students here for field trips and it was awesome! Today we walked through the building to go to the Keeper of the Plains, but many times the gates are locked. We were treated so kindly. They were setting up for a World Cup watch party. For torture reference, there is a parking lot across the river with constant access to the statue and the area surrounding it.

Vodka breadbowl glazer5 months agoI came here for the back to school pow wow a couple years ago and when I still lived in Wichita I used to go to the museum a lot. it's very culturally awakening BUTTT I don't know if anybody else has a problem with the name. I feel like "Indian" is a term we should leave back in the 1600's. other than that it's great
