  As a lifetime Titanium Marriott Bonvoy member who has stayed at properties all over the world, I have a pretty clear sense of what separates a good hotel from a truly great one. The JW Marriott Anaheim Resort lands firmly in the latter category. We came down for a family reunion weekend that included a day at Disneyland, and this hotel set exactly the right tone for the whole trip. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed — not just checked in. Joy and Manny at the front desk were outstanding. They went above and beyond to take care of us, and their warmth made a real difference. It is the kind of attentiveness you hope for but rarely get, even at luxury properties. The facilities speak for themselves — beautifully designed, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully appointed throughout. The location is ideal for a Disney trip, with easy access to the parks and the GardenWalk right next door. What stood out most, though, was the tone set from the top. The general manager was gracious, present, and clearly invested in the guest experience in a way you can feel throughout the entire property. That kind of leadership is rare, and it shows in every interaction. Having visited countless Marriott properties over the years, I know this one is something special. Highly recommend.

  Overall, an excellent stay. The hotel was not overly crowded during our visit, as it was outside the peak school holiday period for most of California. The location is convenient and within walking distance of Disneyland parks. Our room was well maintained, and the housekeeping team was attentive and responsive throughout our stay.

  The service at this hotel was amazing, best I've had in a very long time. Every staff I encountered was very willing to be of assistance and extremely courteous. Housekeeping each of our three days was excellent. Roof top bar service was quite slow, it took a very long time just for some hummus and they were out of dessert early in the evening. Fireworks viewing from the roof is ok. The walk to Disney is a breeze and it's not really worth going to the Toy Story bus.

  After coming from a not-so-great experience at a Hilton in Santa Barbara, arriving at the JW Marriott Anaheim Resort was exactly what we needed. From the moment we walked in, Joy welcomed us with the biggest smile and the kind of hospitality that immediately put us at ease. Right away, I knew our stay was going to be great. Joy handled our check-in and took his time explaining every amenity and detail with so much patience and care. You could truly tell he loves what he does, and that made such a difference. His positive energy set the tone for our entire stay. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and perfectly located on the second level of the mall, which made everything so convenient. From start to finish, everything went smoothly, room, breakfast, happy hour and snacks on the 10th floor, my family truly enjoyed every moment of our stay. Special kudos to Joy, and by the way, my family and I loved his name. We have a very special attachment to that name, so it felt like it was meant to be. Thank you again for such a wonderful experience. We can’t wait to come back!

  Loved our stay at JW Marriott Anaheim. We booked our package through Costco which included a generous daily food and beverage credit. The hotel did have a few quirks: 2 of the 3 restaurants were closed during our stay in April 2026 (one of them did serve breakfast but nothing after that). The front desk person who checked us in had trouble verifying our F&B credits and we ended up losing $20 the first day because we took her word for it. Calls to Guest Services sometimes went unanswered in the evening. We asked for maintenance and had to re-request the service 2 more times before the item was fixed. All that said - the vast majority of employees we encountered were so friendly, engaging, and willing to help that there's no way we could give less than 5 stars. Stand outs were the ladies at the market on floor 1, the hosts at the breakfast restaurant, and Chelsea at the front desk (as well as the other front desk staff). Would definitely stay here again! The rooms were well appointed and the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed we have ever slept in. We would buy that mattress! Theme parks were a 15 to 20 minute walk away and the Garden Walk plaza next door had great restaurants.
