My favorite hotel in San Antonio. Valet is convenient and has more room to leave your vehicle. Yohni was lovely and made sure I was taken care of and knew where to go every time I went by. Checking in they offer you a margarita or water. All service is prompt, including room service. Plus the convenience of walking straight into and out to the Riverwalk. The most perfect boutique hotel!
Excellent stay! The hotel was absolutely beautiful and the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary. With permission, we were able to take photos, which made the experience even more special. The staff truly helped make our anniversary unforgettable. The restaurant and bar were both fantastic. The location was also ideal, within walking distance to great restaurants, bars, and the San Antonio River Walk. We would definitely come back! We highly recommend staying here.
Hotel Valencia in San Antonio exceeded our expectations! From the moment we arrived, the lady at the front desk provided AMAZING service, making us feel welcomed and valued. The accommodations were comfortable and well-maintained, and the overall atmosphere was delightful. We were thoroughly impressed, and the service truly deserves a 10/10. We will definitely continue to return for our future stays! Highly recommended!
We recently stayed at Hotel Valencia and overall had a good experience, but there were a few things that stood out. First impression was great. The lobby is really nice and feels upscale right away. Valet was easy to use, and Mo, who helped us, was super friendly. That said, $64 for valet is pretty steep, even if it is convenient. At check-in, the front desk associate (her name started with an E, I think) was very kind, just spoke really fast and was a little hard to follow at times. She let us know that king rooms were overbooked, even though we had booked about 2.5 months in advance, so we were moved to a double. Not the end of the world, but definitely not what we reserved. She did try diligently to make up for it. She offered wine, which we declined, and then gave us a breakfast credit, explaining we would get $50 plus the $22 destination fee applied toward it. The room itself was very lovely, comfortable, and nicely set up. We had a River Walk view, which was decent, although part of it was blocked by the hotel roof. The shower was just okay, nothing special, and there was a long black hair in the tub when we went to use it, which was not great. Later that night, we asked for our car and ended up waiting a little over 30 minutes. That was frustrating, but the valet staff was very apologetic and nice about it the whole time. Breakfast the next morning was really good. The food was excellent, and the service from the host, manager, and our waiter was all great. We charged it to the room to use the credit, and checkout itself was smooth. When we got home, we noticed only $50 was credited toward breakfast instead of the $72 we were told. Not a huge deal, but it did not line up with what we expected. Overall, it is a nice hotel with good staff and some strong positives, especially the dining. But with a few things not going how we expected, we would probably try somewhere else next time just to compare.
I’ve stayed in a few different hotels in San Antonio over the years, but Hotel Valencia on the Riverwalk was easily the nicest experience I’ve had. Out of all the places I’ve tried along the Riverwalk, nothing else really compares. The rooms were spacious, extremely clean, and felt genuinely high-class without being over the top. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was fantastic, with a refined but welcoming feel that made the whole stay relaxing. It’s the kind of place where you immediately feel like you made the right choice the moment you walk in. The staff were also outstanding. Everyone we interacted with was attentive, professional, and seemed to genuinely care that guests had a great experience. For comparison, I’ve stayed at the Menger before and the rooms there felt very old and outdated, almost like staying in a broom closet. Hotel Valencia was the complete opposite: modern, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed with plenty of space. If you’re staying on the Riverwalk and want something that actually feels upscale and comfortable, Hotel Valencia is absolutely worth it. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.
