Chris Riveraa month agoAfter a less than great experience at another Holiday Inn in San Antonio earlier in our trip, I was a little hesitant to book another one. Thankfully, this location completely changed my mind. The staff were friendly from the moment we checked in, and the process was quick and easy. The room was clean, housekeeping did a great job, and when we decided to extend our stay, the front desk was able to get us a better rate than what I originally booked online. What really stood out was that they put together Father's Day goodie bags for dads, complete with a handwritten card. It was a small gesture, but it was thoughtful and made our stay feel a little more special. The location is fantastic, close to the River Walk, restaurants, and most downtown attractions. We were able to walk just about everywhere we wanted to go. The pool and hot tub were also clean and well maintained. Overall, the staff's friendliness and willingness to help really made the difference. I had a great stay with my daughter and would definitely stay here again. If you're looking for a hotel near downtown San Antonio, I'd highly recommend this location.
Aaron Meeka month agoThe initial check in went well. The Valet staff was very friendly and helpful. The front desk was also very pleasant. The room was very neat and clean. The bathroom was impressively caulked. While sleeping, the room became very warm because of the energy saver motion sensor thermostat. Breakfast was awful as the buffet scrambled eggs sat in a pool of water. The gravy was thin and the waitstaff and hostess could use a lesson in smiling. Upon departure, the valet pretty much requested a tip. I'm not sure if that is proper etiquette on his part or not, but it was aquard as I thought the additional amount we payed handled their wages. Overall, I would give this Inn a 7 out of 10.
Susan Orlebeke2 months agoWell for starters, I called a week before we were to arrive, confirming our arrival, which was going to be 12 midnight and make sure everything was paid in full. Mind you, I made the reservation through Expedia, 6 months early..I called the hotel direct, evidently the call went to a main office number; which confirmed that everything was paid in full and thought maybe they would be able to compensate some because we wouldn't be there till the next day! We flew American airlines.. They were an hour late in taking off and our layover was only an hour and 8 minutes! Needless to say we did not make our connection. But American airlines put us up for the night at the Comfort Inn- Radisson affiliated. Which had a nice breakfast and we were shuttled to and back to the airport. I called from the Comfort in that night and explained what was going on, again I was speaking to the main office.!! We finally made it to the Holiday Inn around noon!! Guess what the main office never relayed the messages, but canceled the first night!! Then they had the nerve to tell us they hadn't been paid!@@@ Finally got that figured out. The rooms are nice enough, if you like looking at the tops of buildings. Of course you could have paid much more for the river walk. Which was nice,but it is soooo humid there, plus being use to Oregon weather and riverfront. It's hard to beat. .
L Ha month agoJust don’t. They will tell you to close the toilet lid and bathroom door so the smell of sewage doesn’t seep into the room. If that isn’t enough for you to turn around, there were roaches and ants in the rooms. Did a room change, but there are no more rooms with two double beds. The pull out couch is rusty and filthy, so I guess everyone is sharing a king bed. Good lord, just please stay away!
Adrian Rodriguez3 weeks agoThe hotel is nice, but out of a 3 day stay, I changed rooms 3 times. First restroom was dirty and second room, the toilet started leaking. I asked for compensation, but was told by manager my compensation would be the suite they moved me to, but it was already my last day and self park... These don't fix the issue as I was already leaving. Was hoping to get some partial refund because definitely not worth the money I paid. I will remove this review if a fair fix is given, but what I received did not make sense since I already was leaving.
