S Rayatta month agoExcellent hotel with amazing, well-appointed rooms and a very convenient location. It’s easily walkable to the main parts of the city, which makes getting around simple and stress-free. The front desk team are consistently friendly and always happy to help with anything you need. There’s also a very handy sweet stand by reception, which is a nice touch and great for a quick energy boost during the day. Service throughout is excellent, and the breakfast is genuinely outstanding. Possibly the best hotel breakfast grub and selectikn I’ve ever had, with plenty of variety and fresh options. The made to order omelettes are a real highlight too!
World Traveller4 months agoPleasant surprise in a charming historic building. The layout with narrow, winding corridors clearly reflects the age of the property, but once you are in the room it feels modern and thoughtfully designed. I especially appreciated the clean look without any carpet and the fact that the windows can actually be opened, which is great if you like fresh air instead of only air‑conditioning. Overall, the room felt comfortable, quiet and well maintained, with a nice balance between classic building and contemporary interior. Breakfast was a real highlight: a generous buffet with several gluten‑free options, lots of pastries, plenty of different juices, as well as a wide choice of cold cuts, cheeses, pâtés and many small bites. It felt more like an upscale brunch than just a standard hotel breakfast, and everything was well presented and regularly refilled. Service at breakfast was friendly and efficient, even when the restaurant was busy. The big downside is the gym. It is extremely small and cramped, with very limited free weights and hardly any open floor space. For a proper workout with strength training or HIIT, it is almost unusable; you are basically limited to a few machines and body‑weight exercises if no one else is there. If a good fitness area is important to you, this could be a serious drawback. Location is very convenient: the hotel is in a pleasant area on/near Grand Sablon with cafés and chocolate shops around, and it is about a 10‑minute walk from Brussels Central Station, which makes it easy to arrive by train and get around the city on foot.”

Here is the breakdown of our stay: The Room & Sleep Quality To be honest, the rooms felt a bit outdated. While clean, the bed was uncomfortable, and the walls are quite thin. Breakfast Experience The breakfast options were decent, with a great cheese selection and good variety for vegetarians (including fresh salads, veggies, and plant-based milks). However, the hot food was a letdown. My omelet was very burnt; I really appreciate it when a kitchen serves nice, clean, golden eggs, so that was a bit of a disappointment. Location The biggest win here is the excellent location. Neighborhood: It is very pleasant to walk around the local streets. Transit: It’s conveniently close to the train station, making it a solid base for exploring the city.

His attention to detail, friendly demeanor and professional attitude exemplifies the hospitality shown to us by the entire staff. I'd happily recommend Brussels Grand Sablon to anyone who is looking for a relaxed and comfortable time in Brussels.
Hunter -6 months agoOK, but disappointing for a four-star hotel The hotel itself is visually nice and clean, and the staff were polite. However, several issues significantly impacted my stay. The biggest problem is soundproofing. Walls are very thin, you can clearly hear neighbors, footsteps from rooms above, and noise echoing down the hallway and under the door. This made it difficult to rest. I was offered a late checkout, which I appreciated at first, but it ended up losing most of its value. I was woken up around noon because staff needed to check the minibar, which defeats the purpose of a delayed checkout and disrupted my sleep. Another disappointment was the lack of local awareness. When I arrived, I asked the front desk about services at the Church of Notre-Dame literally next door to the hotel. It was Christmas, yet the staff had no information about what was happening at the church. Given the location and the holiday, this was surprising. The location is okay, but not strong enough to offset the comfort and service gaps. Overall, acceptable, but below expectations for a four-star hotel.
