solidred43 months agoA proper hotel; puts many flashy new competitors to shame. Astonishing value for money and one wonders how this can be achieved on similar economic basis when equivalents in Paris or London cost several times as much. Bedrooms generously proportioned and well furnished. Technologically sufficient without recourse to the absurd touch-screen gimmickry that seems increasingly to be a norm. Silent overnight. Beds most comfortable. Public areas quite beautiful; supremely elegant. Superb central location. Only one thing: hopefully a restaurant re-opens. That would make accommodations complete for me.
Heather Heathera month agoMy sister and I travelled by Eurostar with my parents (both 89). We had a walker and electric wheelchair. All staff at the hotel (and on Eurostar) were extremely friendly and helpful. The accessible room was super for their needs and we were next door. The breakfast was downstairs but the staff took us the "back way" to use the lift and all was OK. Breakfast great- all you could eat and suited all tastes and catered for my sisters gluten free/no onion/garlic needs well. No restaurant but the bar and bar staff great and there was room service with a limited but good menu (we didn't use). Loads of restaurants in walking distance and we have Uber app which worked really well. Great value for money. We would recommend.
Ettie Luka month agoFront desk staff were helpful. Decoration was beautiful. Room was large. Buffet breakfast was good. But we needed to walk downstair in order to get to the underground floor for the breakfast. It would be helpful if lift was provided. In the last night of our stay we found that one of the table lamp and the charging facility were malfunction!
niels cautaerts5 months agoNothing bad to say about it to be honest. Great service, great bed, great room, great location, great breakfast. Booked via Booking.com, was a great price. Went for my wife's birthday, they put a card on the bed. Small and nice gesture. If I have to be really picky, maybe some smoked salmon would be nice at the breakfast?
Nasreen Butta month agoBeautiful, classic decor, felt relaxed and comfortable as soon as you enter. Its 2 mins walk away from metro station and on the door step to "City2" shopping area and plenty of other sites on the way to the Grand Place. Warm welcome on arrival, very helpful and accommodating staff. Good range of things to eat at breakfast, would recommend at booking.
