L.J2 weeks agoUpdate: unfortunately I had to change my review—trying to obtain a receipt or contact the hotel post booking has been nearly impossible to do and is an endless loop of third parties, voicemails, and unanswered messages. If you are trying to obtain reimbursement via getting a receipt, it is nearly impossible to obtain and I would suggest you book elsewhere. Doesn’t change the quality of the hotel or what I said below, it is just impossible to reach them post check out and for those traveling business, this will throw a huge wrench in your plans. Came here for a conference and glad I did! This was an awesome stay overall. Its design is fresh-feeling, very clean, with fun art and decorations. Zac is the absolute best. Even with a line out the door for check in, he is highly efficient and still very kind and great at his job, doing it with a genuine smile. He also remembers people, asks about your day, which takes the experience to the next level! it is also a great location with proximity to the Target Center, lots of fun bars and centrally located to almost anywhere you might want to go. Would definitely come back.

Albert Xionga month agoI reserved their biggest and best room, the Luxury Suite - King. I was shocked when I went to the room. The room is big but it was on 4th floor. All luxury suite I've reserved in the past is usually on top floor. I took a look at through the windows and there was no views. It viewed into the hotel only. On top of the bad views, there was a glass door in the living room area and another in the bedroom. Both doors are lock but it made the stay very uncomfortable. I felt that anyone can walk through those doors into my room at anytime. Winding down for the night, I notice a light bulb out in the bedroom. Went to take a shower and one of the shower head didn't even work. It was late so it was not worth the hassle to go downstairs to try to get it fixed. During check out and I brought up the issues and the receptionist said ok, it will be noted to be fixed. That was it. No sorry or how can we make it up to you or anything. Usually I do not write reviews but this is one of the worst experience I received so I had to write a review to warn others.

He also gave great information about the restaurant inside. His customer service made my stay much more enjoyable and welcoming. I truly appreciate the patience and attention to detail. Excellent hospitality all around.
Ryan Moon5 months agoI had an incredibly enjoyable stay at Royal Sonesta Minneapolis Downtown. From the moment I arrived, the front desk team stood out for how welcoming and genuinely hospitable they were. Their friendliness set the tone for the entire stay and made me feel well taken care of right away. The bar was also excellent — a great atmosphere, well-made drinks, and an easy place to unwind after the day. On top of that, the view from my room was fantastic, with a beautiful look out over downtown Minneapolis that really elevated the experience. Overall, this was a standout stay, and I would absolutely recommend the Royal Sonesta to anyone looking for a comfortable, welcoming hotel with great service and an unbeatable downtown view. In case The Royal Sonesta sees this- please note that I have unfortunately forgotten the name of whoever was working on the late evening of January 4th. Whatever the name of the man working, I wish to note how highly I appreciate their hospitality.
