The staff was amazing!! We stayed here for 3 nights total due to the proximity to Methodist hospital. My wife had surgery and we wanted to be close. We got a handicap accessible room that was very spacious and comfortable. The restaurant and bar were closed due to construction, which we didn't know prior to arriving. If we had known that, we would have stayed somewhere else because I knew my wife wouldn't be able to walk, so we were looking forward to room service. But that is the only negative thing we experienced. Check-in was easy and the front desk was very friendly. She apologized for the construction mess, and took great care of us. Later that afternoon, I went back down to buy my wife a Gatorade from the lobby and met Miss Yvonne. Wow! Yvonne cares. I wasn't in the best headspace, I was super stressed about my wife and maybe it showed on my face, but over the next 3 days, Yvonne made me feel like family. We chatted every time I went through the lobby and she was genuinely concerned with the well being of my wife, even though she hadn't met her yet. One day, my wife was craving peppermint tea and the girl from the breakfast nook went and got me what she had, very happily. Then on the last morning, she called me out while I was walking through the hall to give me the 1 last bag of peppermint tea that she had searched for and found for me. I wish I got her name, but she was also very sweet. All 3 ladies that I encountered throughout my stay were just incredible. Truly. I want to thank them all for helping me deal with a very difficult situation and being so lovely. When we checked out, Miss Yvonne gave both my wife and I a big hug. It was special. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Side note- the restaurant being closed wasn't a huge deal, because there were plenty of great, walkable restaurants nearby. The Hawaiian place had some of the best pork I've ever had.
Good location and seems clean however, I'm more about the details rather than esthetics. Shower is spacious, but the water pressure is close to nothing. I stayed here 2 nights, first night I lost so much water pressure I only had a small stream of water coming out. The next night, the water was trickling. Very unpleasant, especially after a long day. Tv was not working when I tried to turn it on. Turns outs the hotel tried to connect several things to one outlet. If I wanted to watch tv I had to unplug a light or a charging station. All of which are behind the drawers. Floor to the restroom was dirty and unswept.
Passing through and stayed the night at this location. I must say I felt at home. Went down to the bar and had a couple of drinks, the bartenders name was "Tommie" I believe. She was amazing, very knowledgeable of different drinks. The bar was kept up with, very clean. She was nice and professional. If you ever plan on staying in the area. Make sure you stay here and if Tommie is working she is top notch.
Really friendly staff. The front desk lady was super helpful and Edward from the bar inside the hotel was great. Clean rooms, comfy beds and pillows, and a good location with several restaurants walking distance.
While this location is great. However, my co-worker did not have her driver's license on her and the lady at the front desk decided it was pertinent to tell her "you know ICE can detain you if you don't have in ID" and "she's a paralegal, so she'd know." I'm unsure of what this has to do with checking in to a hotel but I found it completely unacceptable. Also, my room 234, second floor hallway, and first floor hallway by the gym all smelled like....basement and moth balls.
