We had a wonderful 5-night stay at Hampton Inn & Suites Anaheim Resort Convention Center. The location on Katella Drive is excellent, especially for Disneyland visitors. One of the best features was the nearby Toy Story parking area, where it was very easy to catch the free shuttle bus to Disneyland. An added bonus was that the security check was completed before boarding the shuttle, and the lines were much smaller compared to the main Disneyland entrance security lines. The complimentary breakfast starting at 6:30 AM was perfect for families wanting to catch the first 7:00 AM shuttle for rope drop. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and very convenient throughout our trip. We truly enjoyed our 5 days here and would definitely stay again!

Overall we had a nice stay. The convenience of being right outside of Toy Story parking gave great access to Disneyland. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean. The breakfast was delicious. My only complaint is with the room cleaning. The cleaning times were wildly inconsistent, some days it was 9 am and some it wasn't until after 4 pm. We had a toddler that we had napping from about 1-3 pm and we had our do not disturb sign out during those times only. There just didn't seem to be any consistency. We were there for 5 days and our room as only cleaned once and that was after asking for 2 days.

We had an impressive stay here. Very nice young man who checked us in upgraded our room. We appreciated him recognizing husband's HH status. Our room was great, very clean and well soundproofed - no noise from Katella Ave at all. Jacuzzi right next to our room was large and clean. Housekeeping every 2nd day, we were told this at check in. Breakfast great overall, good variety, quite spacious and well laid out. Not 5 star food of course but most people will find something they like. They do close breakfast at 9.30 on the weekend, earlier than other Hamptons/Homewoods we've stayed at which almost caught us out. Overall: great location short walk to Disney shuttle and dining options. Short drive to Packing District for awesome food. Minor issues: one of our TV remotes didn't work. Oatmeal was runny at breakfast :) No-one likes paying for parking but it's Anaheim so....

The location is close to the Toy Story shuttle which is really nice for Disney. The room layout is great for kids and the staff were all very helpful, breakfast was also really great. The beds were a bit hard, we had to scan our hotel card in the elevator every time we got in which was a bit annoying. Shower pressure is terrible! The fridge did not keep our items cold. There were no screens on the window. We had to pay $4 for the atm and then $4 to dry our clothes which gave us 45 minutes, so expensive! The TV / WiFi were slow. This hotel came up on the Disney website as a neighbor hotel, when you filter by free parking it is an option. When I arrived I found out it’s $45 per night. On night 2 after a 12 hour day at Disney we came back and were locked out of our room. Somehow the lock latch was down, no idea how that happened but it was extremely frustrating. Also, the cleaners came while we were gone and left a toilet bowl cleaner on the floor. I have multiple kids, 1 of them being a 2 year old! So unsafe & careless. The hotel was ok but we will definitely be finding a different spot next time.

Unfortunately this hotel made what we were hoping to be a fun holiday trip to Disneyland a complete disaster. Both of my parents have heart conditions and also irregular heart beats that are treated with medication, however, they are not able to do long distance walking. After being informed at check-in that the hotel was at capacity and actually overbooked, we had no choice but to accept rooms on the top 5th floor. To add salt to the wound, we were informed that the elevators were broken, that they would be down for at least the next 2-3 hours, and that the only way up to our rooms were via the staircase. Imagine having to tell your senior citizen parents with heart conditions that the only rooms available are on the top floor and that we have to walk up 5 flights of stairs due to elevator issues. We were not given any apologies or accommodations, no sympathy, nor any form of even an attempt to fix things to a 1st floor room or any compensation of this inconvenience as we were simply told "Sorry, the hotel is at capacity and that the elevators are down". I had even called 3 nights before to confirm they would need a room for someone with a disability and was told "No problem. We will add that in the notes." Clearly, they were not added. In addition, the resort attempted to double charge us $80 a night for parking since we had 2 rooms but only 1 car. I caught this thankfully and after finally having to break down their error, they finally took it off one of the rooms. Keys are required for everything that you do at this hotel, from elevator choice, to entry into the lobby. We later found out why as we were approached by homeless people and someone clearly high asking for money repeatedly directly outside the hotel. The closest food mart is across the street which is a 7/11. Beware of being scammed at the 7/11 as they tried to pull a fast one and give us incorrect change back. Also beware of homeless camping out outside of that 7/11 as sunset approaches. For what we paid and to be a loyal Hampton Inn guest, we left extremely disappointed in this property. Yes, the toy story parking nearby helps for accessing Disneyland, but with what we paid plus $40 a night parking, as well as the lack of respect or lacked attempt to accommodate, we will not be returning. Lastly, Be aware that in addition to the parking being an extra $40 a night, each room night stay has 4 to 5 additional Anaheim or California hidden fees and taxes added. What the online price is will not end up being your final check out price.
