<p>A self-proclaimed “hobby out of control”, Grinder’s Switch Winery has been growing and producing award-winning wine for over 15 years. Grinder’s Switch Winery is the brainchild of Joey and Gail Chessor, the small-town couple who turned their dream into a reality and a thriving family business. The winery is located in the heart of middle Tennessee, in the rolling countryside of Hickman County. Surrounded by 110 acres of trees and beautiful vistas, the Chessor family nurtures a 10 acre vineyard on their family estate. The winery also includes the tank room which can hold more than 15,000 gallons of wine and is the epicenter of wine production. The hand-built log cabin that was once their family home has been converted into a cozy tasting room that welcomes visitors far and wide. The cabin was built in 1982 by the owners, Gail and Joey, to raise their family in. It has become the symbol of the winery’s philosophy for providing Southern charm and sophisticated taste. Grinder’s Switch Winery prides itself on making wine delicious and approachable. In 2015, Grinder’s Switch Winery took their wine to the heart of the big city and opened a location in downtown Nashville in the historic Marathon Village. This satellite location provides customers new and old a chance to enjoy some of Tennessee’s best wine along with private wine and cheese pairings.</p>

Nephtwim Rosarioa month agoNestled in the woods of TN country, the winery is a peaceful and inviting place. We were greeted warmly by the tasting room server. As she walked us through our tasting, she took her time to explain in detail each wine and talk about the winery. She was very friendly and fun to hang out with. After our tastings, we enjoyed a glass of wine at their outside deck. The setting was serene and calm with only the sounds of nature. They feature both sweet and dry wines.
jim Johnstona month agoGrinder switch is a lovely little winery located in a shady, forested hollow. They have a large selection of fruity wines but we are not fruity wine drinkers at all. Well, on occasion on a hot day And if it's chilled Two almost Frozen. But they're wine slushie did look appealing on this summer day. We picked up a bottle of their tempranillo blend because we like a dryer red wine with low tannins. Lovely to sit out in there shaded property. This was one of 10 stops in our annual Hickman County ag tour. We will go back.

Rob Sa year agoI’ve been here several times over the last 10 years and it never disappoints. Wonderful wine , wonderful products, and the staff are absolutely amazing! Normally we come during the summer but we haven’t been in a while and we’re out on a bike ride so we stopped by. Got two bottles of wine while here and took a little break from the ride. It’s always fun to visit and sit with friends. The wine tasting here is great! A little out of the way spot that everyone should visit!
Carol Glassa year agoGreat place to visit! We were in the area camping and stopped by to check it out. The team member that greeted us and helped with our tasting as so nice and she was very attentive in trying to help us find the right ones to sample. We walked out with four bottles and a wine slushy to drink on the patio. Everyone there was super nice and we enjoyed everything about this space.
