Chelsea Mosqueda4 months ago**1-Star Review – Do Not Stay Here** Our experience at Clarion Hotel was bad from start to finish. First, we were charged twice for our booking, which was extremely frustrating to deal with. The front desk staff was not knowledgeable and couldn’t answer basic questions about the Choice Hotels rewards program — despite there being a large sign at the counter encouraging guests to ask about it. The cocktail lounge was closed on Tuesday night during our stay, yet there was nothing in the hotel brochure or materials indicating that limited schedule. Parking was also misleading — they were not upfront about parking fees or that we would be subject to separate LAZ Parking charges. We specifically choose hotels based on parking amenities, and this felt deceptive. The gym and common areas were dirty and outdated. The entire hotel had an overwhelming artificial air freshener smell, like it was trying to mask something. Worst of all, my wife was bitten by bugs in the bed and developed an eye infection after using the pillow. That alone makes this completely unacceptable. We absolutely would not stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone. .
Bo Bartholomewa week agoMy experience at the Clarion Hotel was interesting. While I did enjoy my stay, there were a few things that blatantly stood out as being ridiculous to this senior on his senior trip. This hotel makes you pay for the breakfast that is advertised as free! All Choice Hotels have free breakfasts except this one, and it's legitimately the same breakfast! The shuttle to Disneyland is a huge scam, just walk across the street and use official Disney transportation, don't waste $4 a day, and you also get to go though security faster that way. Also, why does this hotel charge $60 for parking when the Disney parking lot right across the street costs just $40?!
Teresa Henrie3 months agoWe have always stayed right across from Disneyland when we come with the kids. But, wanted to do something different for our anniversary trip. - The walk to the Toy story bus is next to nothing. And the pre security line is fabulous! - The staff was very friendly. They even upgraded us for our anniversary! ♥️ - The hotel was clean, the beds were comfy, and the room was spacious. It did need a little updating. But, it was clean so that, to me, is more important. - I was excited that the pool was heated....I would call it cold bath water. And there was no hot tub. I'm sure I'm the summer that's not an issue though. -Room service was really good. -No free on the go breakfast for park days was kind of a bummer. We didn't try out the breakfast buffet. Would I stay here again with just my spouse? Absolutely! With the whole fam? Maybe.
Shari Hollander6 months agoWe had a wonderful stay! Rooms were clean and staff was very friendly. A quick walk to the Toy Story parking lot to grab the shuttle to the parks or an affordable uber. The lobby was nicely decorated for the holidays. We felt safe & comfortable our whole stay. The value was great. We will definitely be back!
Alfonso/Miranda Moreno3 months agoRecently had one of the worst experiences dealing with Choice hotels. Came for a cheer competition for our daughter and niece, after not being able to make the initial drive with family due to my disability. The question was asked if another car would be permitted to park with the current reservation and front desk would not make any exception we're just rude about everything. So instead of staying with my family for the night I had to have someone bring me in the morning to attend the event. While eating dinner at the locations restaurant the dinner staff were just as rude as the front desk folks. I get that hundreds of people come and go through these hotels and locations daily but it doesn't allow EVERY Staff Member to be jerks.
