We were very well taken care by the team, with great hospitality; from the bell service to the room service to service at the cafe. The junior room faces the Fort Canning Park which is great. We also had a good walk around the park and revisit history; which brings back memory of my time serving as Singapore’s first SAF soldier. My wife and I feel rested especially being close to nature help in our post surgery recovery. Thank you to all at The Mett. Will definitely recommend The Mett to our travelling guests who wants a cultural stay close to nature and not too far from the city.
Moritz Fischer2 months agoStaycation at The MET Singapore We recently stayed at The MET Singapore for a staycation and it exceeded expectations on every level. The location is a standout - right next to Fort Canning Park, which offers a rare mix of lush greenery and historical charm. It’s perfect for a morning walk or a relaxed stroll before heading back to the hotel. The hotel itself feels fresh, modern, and thoughtfully designed. Being brand new, everything from the rooms to the common areas is in pristine condition. The rooms are beautifully done - stylish, comfortable, and clearly designed with attention to detail, making it easy to fully unwind. Dining is another highlight. The Italian restaurant, led by a Michelin-starred chef, delivers exceptional quality across the board. Every dish feels refined yet approachable. The breakfast buffet is equally impressive, with a wide selection and consistently high quality - easily one of the better hotel breakfasts in Singapore. Overall, this is a place that gets the fundamentals right while also delivering a premium experience. If you’re looking for a staycation that combines location, design, and excellent food, The MET Singapore is an easy recommendation.
Ciarán Butler6 months agoLoved our stay here. This was a mini honeymoon gifted by our friends, after getting married last Monday. And it was perfect. Newly opened so still not totally there with their all their amenities. Excited to see what it’ll be once fully in operation. But the service we had and the stay as a whole was fantastic. The renovations that have been done have been thought out and tastefully executed (I’m a fan of the art deco stylings). The rooms use the space well, the bed and pillows are excellent and the robes are the best I’ve ever had in a hotel (they actually fit me lol). The pools are lovely, the lap pool truly excellent. And the gym is probably the best hotel gym I’ve encountered. We had diner both nights and had a very good experience in the bar in particular. Looking forward to our return. Monna Lee5 months agoI recently enjoyed a 2-night staycation at METT with my sister, and it was a wonderful experience. I actually discovered this hotel by chance while looking for an alternative to the InterContinental Bugis during their switch-over, and I am so glad I did. The atmosphere walking into the hotel was a stunning experience. The aesthetic is beautiful and quiet. The waiting area/library is a great touch—the snacks provided there made the check-in process feel very welcoming and thoughtful.The rooms are gorgeous. The bathroom is nice and felt very luxurious. I also really appreciated that the bed has a good firmness. Exceptional staff which I feel really makes or breaks an experience. Robert escorted us to our room and was incredibly friendly; his knowledge of the property and his patience with answering my questions was nice. Jersey was super friendly—it turns out a friend of mine knew her, and she was even lovelier after we made that connection. Kama (I believe that was his name) at the entrance helped with our bags and was so easy to chat with. Just small things I noted: - Toilet Plug: It would be much more convenient if there was a power outlet in the bathroom for the hairdryer - Sound Insulation: The walls are a bit thin Overall, it was a fantastic stay despite the gym thing with my sister. The design, the comfort, and most importantly, the hospitality from the team were top-notch. I would definitely return for longer on my next vacation when visiting my family.
Lisa Petersona month agoMy husband and I stayed here in April for 6 nights. Overall our experience was pleasant, but not what we would rate as a 5 star hotel experience. This is our third time staying in Singapore, all previously at 5 star hotels (Conrad Hilton and Marina Bay Sands). We were attracted by the location of the hotel and the privacy given how it is located in Fort Canning. The ground facilities were beautiful and had a nice historic esthetic. We understood that it is recently changed ownership, so perhaps this was a soft launch for all of their service offerings. The benefits of this hotel is the location, the gym facilities, the location and general traffic, and the local food at the bar. Some of the drawbacks which we would be hesitant to return to the hotel are the overall customer service and service offerings. There needs to be more training or increased staffing for the front of house service team. On numerous occasions at various times of the day or evening we called the front desk and over 50% of the time the calls were unanswered. When we were able to get a hold of the front desk, sometimes they were helpful but other times they were unsure, or did not return our calls on the matters that needed to be addressed (ie. billings, service offering etc.). The ancillary service team members (ie. housekeeping, valet etc.) were very helpful and worked hard but it seemed like there was a somewhat disconnect on times and dates when certain things that were offered on the website would be available. Also, it is odd how there are no bathroom facilities dedicated to the pool area or indoor showers for the pool, which does not help if you arrive before check-in or need to leave late after check-out. Hopefully there will be improved in the future and perhaps when the new restaurant opens, improvements in these areas will be made. A
