  I have an established IRA with american century. When I started my yearly with drawls they stated to place my bank data on my account, to avoid USPS. I did this with no difficulty. I now need to change my banking information, signed in, entered my new banking data and received a message that i had to submit a voided check for this account, and a picture of my drivers license. WHAT?? Isn't this being hypocritical, based on their statement several years ago?? I have changed my banking account data at multiple other company's. No problems with them, they used trustify, double entry transactions, or their own verification system. American Century is apparently operating in the dark ages still, and forgot about customer service.

  They need to make changes in the Investor's Center. They have these two hugh buildings, but they have two employees wedged in like sardines together in the little investor's center which is north of the twin towers. There's no privacy at all. They need to have a space where clients can meet in private with the representative. Today, I was having a conversation with a rep named Brandon who was doing an excellent job and knew exactly what he was doing, but this gal wearing jeans (not professional looking AT ALL) kept interrupting our conversation. NOT COOL. In the future, if privacy's not available, I'm going to have to find another investment firm to move my money to. American Century's reps need to dress professionally and stop interfering and interrupting their co-workers when they're with clients.

  Terrible company. I became a client through ADP retirement and the experience has been a nightmare. Before signing up ensure you are okay with their rollover procedure. They require you to send sensitive data by FAX or mail. In the case of the FAX, from what I understand, they use a third party to manage their faxes. I don’t know if this is compliant. I am filling a complaint to ensure it is. Save yourself the stress, avoid this company. Protect your peace.

  KC American Century - what has happened to you??!? I used to love you guys. Now you have no - I mean NO - plans to counter the downward trend of the market. Your customer service literally said just to "close your eyes" it will go back up. The customer service has deteriorated and mistakes have been made. Technology is outdated and they should not have papers that show gains and losses without cashing in - and even when you do cash this should be an automatic document that you don't have to hand type out! Horrible for taxes - so much extra work. American Century is behind the times and their plans are losing major money. Yes the market is down - but put together a health care conglomerate - do something! They just aren't the premier company they once were. Sad... so sorry to say so long....
