M W6 months agoCute venue. Just delivered a Wedding cake here for a wedding. Marylynn was so sweet and helpful when I had to set the cake up. Definitely would recommend this venue.
Brittaney McCarthya year agoNew Years Eve Event: 12/31/2024 I visited Jimmy's/Vandais Event Center for the first time on New Year’s Eve to see the band Good for Gary, which was honestly the only reason I decided to go. While the band was fantastic, our experience with the venue itself left a lot to be desired. The banquet room, where the performance was held, felt extremely claustrophobic and was uncomfortably hot throughout the night. The long line for drinks in the banquet area forced us to keep walking over to the bar in Jimmy’s, which was frustrating. Atmosphere: Jimmy’s Bar (which is connected) does have some appealing features like pull tabs, darts, and other bar games, making it a spot with potential for fun on a normal day. However, the crowd was a strange mix of age groups, and the overall vibe felt off. Food: We didn’t order any, so I can’t comment on it. Drinks: We all appreciated the buy-one-get-one-half-off deal, and the drinks themselves were well-mixed. Bartenders seemed annoyed and overworked. Other downsides included overflowing bathrooms littered with empty bottles and cans and no security checks at the entrance (though there was police presence). I was also surprised that the music ended at 12:30, and police started kicking everyone out at 1:00 AM sharp. On New Year’s Eve, you’d expect the bar to stay open until bar close of 2:30 AM. Unfortunately, I likely won’t be coming back. The atmosphere and management of the event just didn’t meet expectations.
Laura Fullilove4 years agoI had my wedding here this past weekend, and I loved every single part of it.! Everyone is so kind and helpful… from the restaurant employees all the way down to the guests by our venue. They always made sure the night was going as planned…. The food was awesome. The place was beautifully decorated and so green. Everyone is very well family-oriented because we had a ton of children at our wedding, and they brought out toys to help us ensure we were able to enjoy our evening. Beautiful place. Friendly staff. Awesome good. Good price. Do not hesitate to book.
Barry Thao4 years agoCame to Jimmy's on a Friday evening with a friend, first time in many years. It was busy but not so much that we had to wait. Still love the Italian dunkers and everyday 8:30PM happy hour drink specials.
