  Came here to watch a piano recital by students of a well-known piano teacher in Singapore. + Fan-shaped seating allows all 245 audience members to have a good and intimate experience of a recital performance. + There's a washroom immediately outside the security checkpoint. - There are signs to tell people not to walk between rows even though there is space and natural aisles between seats. - The wooden arm rests can be raised/lowered, but there is no soft closing mechanism. - The hall entrance doors open and shut quite loudly, which is an issue when latecomers arrive.

  I have attended numerous concerts at this venue, and find the compact size ideal for smaller concerts like chamber music or arias. However, I am always ambivalent about their policy of checking bags and insisting that any food must be deposited with them. Understand it is THEIR policy but it would horrify me to see any audience member eating. I had been irritated by audience members making noises when they need to drink water, but I guess it is their habit (i.e. no water discipline and cannot sit for long without water, which can be the case with the seniors understandably, though young adults do it too.)

  This is a very nice place to enjoy concerts on a smaller and more intimate scale. Seating is comfortable, air conditioning is just right. The acoustic is fantastic. I watched a musical concert here and enjoyed thoroughly.

  This recital studio has wonderful acoustics and allows an intimate close-up experience with the performers. It is easy to locate on level 2 of the Esplanade. The staff are all professional and friendly. Thank you for our lovely experience here over the weekend when we watched the Singapore Lyric Opera Adult Chorus Choir!

  This is a lovely, intimate studio performance area. Definitely very nice for performances where you want to be close in with the performers - and there isn't a bad seat. It can be a bit tricky to locate, so don't leave it til the last minute, but that's about the only downside. A really nice venue.
