I had an excellent stay at the TRU in Minneapolis and wanted to highlight the truly outstanding service. Every staff member I interacted with was incredibly friendly and helpful. The gentleman who runs the continental breakfast provided some of the best service I’ve ever experienced at any hotel. He warmly greeted every guest, anticipated questions before we even had to ask, and even checked in at tables to make sure everyone had what they needed. I’ve stayed at many hotels, and I’ve never seen that level of genuine care at a complimentary breakfast. The front desk receptionist also went above and beyond. I came down after noon asking if there were any leftover breakfast items for someone in my room who wasn’t feeling great, and he didn’t hesitate for a second—he grabbed a banana, muffin, and yogurt with no problem at all. The housekeeping staff was just as kind and attentive. The ladies cleaning the rooms were friendly, helpful, and ready to assist with anything I needed. Overall, the service here was truly A+. I will absolutely stay at this hotel again. Highly recommend!

I recently stayed at the Tru by Hilton in Minneapolis, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing and left me very dissatisfied overall. From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff were noticeably rude and unwelcoming. Instead of feeling like a valued guest, I felt like an inconvenience. Simple questions were met with short, dismissive responses, and there was a clear lack of professionalism and customer service. The valet service made matters even worse. Not only did they misplace my car keys, causing unnecessary delays, but I was also incorrectly charged for someone else’s vehicle. This level of disorganization and carelessness is completely unacceptable, especially when trusting a hotel with something as important as your vehicle. The only bright spot during my stay was the head kitchen manager. He was incredibly friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to make sure guests felt welcomed. His positive attitude and excellent service were the only redeeming qualities of this experience. Overall, I would not recommend staying at this location based on my experience. There is a serious need for improvement in both customer service and operational organization.

Great customer service, front desk staff made sure I was all good. Very good value. I gave a lower rating for the room since I was next to a trash chute and it was a bit smelly getting into the room each day. Room itself was perfectly fine though so I opted to keep it even though they offered to change it for me thank you for that

Write downtown Minneapolis so a great location if you are going to the Target Arena or US Bank Arena or want to explore downtown. We unfortunately had a bad experience. Arrived at the hotel around 7:00 p.m. and it is a secured entrance which is nice but ringing the front desk phone there was nobody there to let us in. Fortunately another guest let us in the door but then we waited at the front desk which was empty for many minutes. Check in was normal and and the room was average and clean and good enough for a cheap 1112 room. You either have to do valet parking at the which costs $49 or you can select a parking garage 2 to 3 blocks away and walk for around 15 to $25 overnight. The hotel itself is very nice and clean and spacious and a good solid breakfast offering of all of the standards of scrambled eggs and cereal and waffles and bacon and fruits and yogurts. If you want to stay right downtown for cheap then this is a good option

Booked this hotel as it is close to the passport agency. I was so happy with the room and service. When I checked it I was assisted by Kimberly at the front desk. The hotel does not have parking but they do valet parking or there is public parking which Kimberly provided a few options. I parked 2 minutes walk from the hotel. The room was clean, with excellent amenities full fridge, kitchen counter with kitchen supplies. Breakfast menu had a nice selection. Due to unforseen reasons I needed to request a late check out, informed my situation to Gigi and she was wonderful allowed me to have a late check out at 2pm, which assisted me tremendously. As I was leaving I met with the GM Troy and the Edith the Housekeeping Manager. They were so nice and welcoming saying hello and holding the elevator door (I was taking forever). Customer service was top notch, would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be staying here again.
