I mean, it’s fine for an “inn,” but you aren’t getting the Gaylord experience here and it def isn’t good enough to merit $300/night for an “exterior” room. It was also under construction when I went and I don’t believe that was disclosed, nor was I discounted for it. The room was awfully small, including a shower that even made me feel big! The Opryland Gaylord is amazing. Just don’t think you’re getting that here. You may as well stay at one of the nearby hotels that are MUCH cheaper or splurge for the real thing.
We had a decent layover here. There are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. The hotel smells nice. The gym is great. The facility is clean. My room faced the courtyard, but the blackout blinds are amazing. This hotel gets low points because they are no longer providing us with stay points. As a flight attendant, this is one of the perks. We spend a lot of time away from home. It's nice when a hotel recognizes that and allows us to build up points so that we can use those to treat our families to a nice hotel on a vacation together.
Our sprig break scheduled cruise got cancelled due to flight cancellations after having a bad weather. So instead of sitting home, we decided to travel to Nashville and take our kids to sound waves. Opryland hotel is fully booked so we booked at this hotel. The price is $400 for one night including 4 wristbands to get in to sound waves. The hotel is not updated.you paid for the name. They gave us room outside where you can hear all the constructions and cars from the interstate. At 2am there was an alarm next room that was going on until 6am. It didn’t turned off. Then at 6am next day the alarm clock went on in our room. Woke us all up!!We did not place a wake up call by the way. I would suggest, if you need just a too go to nearby hotels. They have better and upgraded rooms. If you need access to sound waves, get a room at opryland, $200 difference in the price is worth it.
This hotel is in an excellent location for those who are planning to attend the Grand Ole Opry or a convention nearby. Lots of food venues nearby to choose from, including a pretty decent restaurant in the hotel. Rooms were very clean, but a little dark given the layout. It honestly didn't really matter for us as we selected this place for the location. Uber prices were around 13 to 20 bucks to downtown which is obviously a plus. The front desk service could improve though. Regardless, I will stay here again given the above mentioned circumstances.
Rooms are decent, location is basically on a main road so hard to walk many places but they do offer a shuttle/bus to the mall/main resort. Issue for me comes from the service, front desk really helpful and kind, however the cleaning staff on my last day knocked on my room every 30 minutes after 9am to ask when I was leaving, even after explaining i paid for 2pm checkout, they showed me a paper saying I had to be out by 11, I decided to go down to the front desk at 10 and let them know, they confirmed i paid for a 2 pm check out, go back up to my room and im fine until 11. Then every 30 minutes the housekeepers come back and knock on the door. And yes I did have the privacy tag on the outside door handle, seems like they are in a rush to get me out of the room that I paid for. First time being rushed out of a room before checkout
