Traveled last week for a work conference and this was my first trip to Nashville. Being a NJ gal~ I needed to make my trip extra affordable, but I digress. Traveling solo~ though I would not be in danger of being kidnapped ~ safe, clean, and within walking distance of my event was key. My stay exceeded my expectation and hope!! The location the location the location!! Best part by far!! The hotel is an approximately 20 minute taxi/Uber trip from the airport. I was no more than a 20 minute walk from our event venue (City Winery), no more than 25 minutes to various restaurants (all walking that is), and a 10 minute walk to 'Lower Broadway' aka Honky Tonk Row 🤠. Cleanliness. Another A+! The lobby, common areas and breakfast area as well as my room. Friendliness/professionalism. A+! Warmth and kindness from the front desk staff, valet at the front door, breakfast staff. There are fancier hotels in the immediate area, yet if you are watching your budget a little extra like us New Jersey folks (haha) then the Holiday Inn Express Downtown-Broadway is for you!!
This hotel is the worse we had our family reunion from July 9-12 and it was as if they lack communication amongst the staff and management that the nitpick with my family the whole weekend trying to get us to be defensive and combative after my spent well over 15,000 on a banquet and event space. We paid for a buffet style meal with 3 entrees for 96 people and was literally giving 1 pan of everything and the pans of food was not even completely full. The only thing replenished during the dinner was salad and bread. So disappointing when we paid 8,500 for the banquet along and we had about 15 who didn't even get a chance to eat because we ran out of food. When I checked in I was originally charged for 4 nights when I only booked for 3. Guest service told me the charges would drop off when I check out. Total price for my room was 718 but my card was charged 1232 Fast forward the next day while sitting in our meeting in greet I received a message stating the smoking policy. I immediately went to check my room and then went to the front desk. Another message then came informing me that the first message was just a courtesy send to all guest. So here it is the last day and after checking my I noticed I had been charge a 350 smoking fee. When I never smoked in the room. I ask to speak to a manager no manager on duty and there was no manager available all weekend. Guest service said the manager would be in at 130p. We checked out at 11a and headed back to Chicago I called at 130p for said manager and staff told me to call back at 230p because she wasn't in, I called back at 430p and now they informed me manager is available and I would need to call back during the week. What type of BS is this now wonder the hotel sucks there is no supervision or structure. I never smoke in my room but this hotel call just take a additional 350 after already trying to get me to pay for an additional day. I will never stay here again and I will be filing a former complaint with the BBB and my bank.
We had a great stay for a stop on my bachelorette trip! We LOVED the valet guys, especially Jalen & Logan, we had so many bags and they packed our car beautifully but also carried our luggage and even threw away our trash lol. Love them and we’ll definitely be back!
Mainor provided an excellent valet experience from start to finish. He was professional, friendly, and very attentive. From the moment I arrived, he greeted me with a positive attitude and made the process quick and smooth. He handled my vehicle with care and had it ready promptly when I needed it. What stood out the most was his great customer service, he went above and beyond to make sure everything was convenient and stress-free. It’s clear he takes pride in his work. I would definitely trust Mainor again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for reliable and top-quality valet service.
We just arrived at the Holiday Inn Express - Downtown (Nashville). The valet team is awesome! Extremely helpful and polite! Adam was excellent and provided clear information for all we need. Looking forward to a fun stay in Music City!
