I had multiple issues with this hotel. First, I received an email stating hotel check in time was at 4pm. I arrived at 3:54pm to find out my room wasn’t ready. I find it shocking that 6 minutes would make or break a room being ready. Second, there is a $10 fee to park a vehicle. I tried to book another room to see if there was mention of that fee but couldn’t find it on the website. It is not an issue, but I’ve never had to pay for parking at a hotel unless it was valet parking. I am traveling from out of state so I cannot say for certain if that is something that is common out here. The manager was ever so gracious in getting us a room ready because we were incredibly early to our check in time. This room had hair all over the shower wall, on the floor and a lovely arrangement of pubic hair by the toilet! After complaining to the front desk, she changed my room and offered us a free breakfast. We walked into our next room and thought it was okay, but we were mistaken. The fold out bed had yellow stains, one can assume what those stains were. Would you believe there was hair, once again, in the shower area? Hair on the walls and by the soaps. The clock was dusty, a clear indication of not being at least wiped down, and the coffee/microwave area had visible stains. The hallways smelt strongly of cigarettes one night. There is an odd stain on the carpet by the bed and I’m going to save my sanity and not take any guesses. (I’d advise you to bring socks or slippers) You’re getting what you paid for here. There are other hotels nearby you can choose, and I wish I could have. The TV worked wonderfully and that might be my only positive! Management will probably reply and tell me I was wrong, I should have asked for yet another room change or whatever excuse is in the books. I shouldn’t have to ask for hair to be cleaned out of the bathroom or the room to just be cleaned. This isn’t some 5 star, $600+ a night room but common cleanliness should be practiced.
Had an excellent stay at Sonesta Select Seattle Bellevue. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and very clean, with all essential amenities. The hotel also offers a beautiful lobby, relaxing lounge/waiting areas, conference and meeting facilities, ATM, free Wi-Fi and a convenient small marketplace. The highlight of our stay was the warm hospitality of Valerie at the front desk. She was always smiling, kind and eager to help. As non-Americans, we sometimes had difficulty understanding the local English accent and tone, but Valerie patiently tried her best to understand us and assist in every possible way. Her kindness and professionalism made us feel truly welcome and comfortable throughout our stay. Excellent hotel for both family vacations and business travel. Great value for money and highly recommended for anyone visiting the Bellevue/Seattle area.
This hotel is clean, functional, and up to date. It's soft pillows for your head, lavender soap for your body, and a quiet room for your well being. The workout room has enough for most strength and cardio workouts, the breakfast bar is modest, and it's a little difficult to locate. Otherwise, it's right near the freeway (without freeway sounds at night) and close enough to public transport to be walkable.
My stay was pleasant enough and the room was nice. The only negative was at checkout as the man handling it had an attitude that rubbed me the wrong way. Otherwise other than the final checkout everything was good. So as an update to this review the motel did not contact me at all to address my concerns as they said they would. I guess customer satisfaction is not important to them which is a bit of a shame. Really the man who handled checkout really did have a bad attitude towards me, it was almost personal from what I saw and it made me a bit alarmed the way he treated me. I'm just glad I'm not staying there.
I’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times for business (I travel for work to the Bellevue area regularly and have stayed all over the area, until finding a place to stick with). I’ve overlooked the many things mentioned here. Stains in the bedding and carpets, the hot tub is always out of service… for at least a year now (which they won’t inform anyone about in advance) Don’t expect to use it. The rooms are dated. They don’t even have USB ports for charging your phone. Dead bugs. Hit or miss staff. They nickel and dime you with a “parking fee” and hold on to your “incidentals deposit” longer than anyone else which is a little weird... but I just use the room for sleep so if the price is low enough, it does the job. Whoever owns this hotel is pretty cheap (I mean really? You won’t even buy a cheap alarm clocks with USB ports for your rooms?). If you’re like me and just need a place to sleep, it does the job. But if you’re on vacation, you’ll get better bang for buck elsewhere. For some reason, Bellevue has a few hotels that offer the barest of minimums for maximum prices. I don’t recommend the breakfast. 🤢
