Heather Urban6 years agoMy husband and I recently had our wedding and reception at Ruby in April. We had a destination wedding since our families are scattered all over the US. From searching, to securing our date, to hosting our wedding, Ruby was a delight to work with. Brenda and Dan were always quick to respond when I needed to ask a million questions. It was difficult to find a venue that allowed our two dogs and have the magic we were looking for. I never visited Ruby before securing my date, from the photos online I knew I had to get married here. The venue is stunning - we just loved the modern industrial look! The building itself is a complete surprise and absolutely beautiful. It was so convenient to have everything happen in one location. I love how you are given a blank canvas to work with, it made for a truly special day. It stormed throughout my wedding and most of the reception. The covered patio came in handy. This is exactly what I've always dreamt my wedding would be like. Ruby exceeded my expectations, I’m in love with this venue. It’s perfect.
The Timmons4 years agoWe were looking for an eclectic venue to host a rehearsal dinner. We found it in the Ruby. The venue has a fabulous vibe that provides a perfect slate to build your party. Brenda and Dan were easy to work with. It's nice they provide a list of preferred vendors. Being from out of town, that gave us a place to start. We chose a caterer from their list (Clean Plate Club) and the rest just fell into place. The Welcome Party followed the rehearsal dinner - with the front porch being tented and heated, the whole venue was very spacious and comfortable for our guests. A prefect start to a perfect weekend! Thank you Dan and Brenda!
Athena Merida3 years agoI attended a wedding at The Ruby in January 2022 and fell in love with the space! Fortunately, I was able to host a conference dinner for 75 and it was an INCREDIBLE experience! Dan and Brenda were so accommodating and day of Dan and Claire were there to assist with any of my needs and my vendors. I used their recommended vendors, Bacon & Caviar Catering and Eventworks Rentals, and both were AMAZING! It’s such a beautiful space and I highly recommend this event space to anyone looking to host an event.
Margie V5 years agoWe recently hosted my daughter’s wedding reception at Ruby and could not have been more pleased. Every detail of the reception far exceeded our expectations. After cancelling initial wedding plans due to Covid and then plan B, we landed plan C at Ruby and the third time really was the charm! Dan and Brenda could not have been more understanding and accommodating as we pulled off this last minute venue change. Because of their stellar list of preferred vendors, we were able to secure all vendors within a few weeks, and every vendor was absolutely exceptional. They knew the space and worked seamlessly with each other and Ruby. Because of this and the beautiful interior and design at Ruby, we enjoyed a truly magical afternoon. Thanks a million, Dan and Brenda!
Anne Halsted3 years agoWe had our wedding at Ruby on October 1st and it was a beautiful day! The design of the space is so unique and all our guests still talk about what an incredible venue we had. The front patio is perfect for cocktail hour and mingling! Although overall we had a good experience with Ruby, we were disappointed with the venue manager. We knew she was there just to ensure there were no damages to the building as vendors set up, however she was rude and unwilling to answer questions related to the building. As the bride I introduced myself to her in the morning and she just said “hi” and wouldn’t even tell me her name. We had a glass frame break as we were setting up and a family member asked her for a broom and she said there wasn’t one available for us to use so the bartender had to pick up the glass by hand, which is dangerous. Our photographer also asked for a step stool to hang my dress up for a photo and she again said there wasn’t one available. Later in the day someone opened up an unlocked closet and found a broom and a step stool. I just can’t understand why she wouldn’t allow us to use those during the day. I think the only words anyone heard her say that day were “I can’t help with that”. As the venue manager she is representing Ruby and we were very disappointed with her and Ruby.
