  My family and I spent 77 nights at the Ronald McDonald House in Wichita, Kansas while our micro-preemie baby was in the NICU — nearly three hours away from our home. What could have been a deeply overwhelming and lonely time was made so much more bearable thanks to the incredible care and support we received. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with open arms by a staff that truly cared. We were especially impressed that some of the staff were bilingual — something that really stood out to us. It made the house feel even more inclusive and welcoming, and it’s clear that they go above and beyond to support all families, no matter their background or language. The house itself was so much more than just a place to sleep. It felt like a real home. The large common areas gave us space to relax, connect with other families, and find moments of peace in the middle of long, emotional days. The playroom was a favorite spot for our 2-year-old daughter — she had an absolute blast in there, and it was such a joy to see her smile and just be a kid while her little sister was in the hospital. We were incredibly grateful for the thoughtful amenities: comfortable rooms, laundry access, a fully stocked kitchen, and warm meals often provided by local volunteers. Every small detail made a big difference and allowed us to focus on what mattered most — being with our baby during her NICU journey. One day, we hope to return — not as guests, but to cook for the families staying there as a way to give back. We will always carry this experience in our hearts and are forever thankful for the opportunity Ronald McDonald House gave us during one of the hardest times of our lives.   Very nice people, good spacious rooms and the kitchen is amazing! It was easy to check in and I could come at anytime to the kitchen. My baby was in Wesley PICU and I didn’t have money or time to go buy food so this was actually very helpful for me and my husband. We will forever be thankful!

  I can not stress enough how amazing this house is! They offer an amazing room to stay along with hot meals and amenities like a living room, laundry room, an outdoor space for relaxing and/or grilling, a kids play room, a reading area, and a place to watch television. The kitchen looks like something out of a cooking show along with the aesthetic. On top of all this, the staff were so friendly and personable and everything was SO clean! I HIGHLY recommend this place for families in need.

  Amazing place for moms and dads to stay while they are in a vulnerable situation. I couldn’t be more grateful for the Ronald McDonald house. They have plenty of food options, they have great amenities, and they keep it very clean so you don’t have to worry about another thing.

  We only stayed one night since our little man was due to check in for surgery early in the morning and we lived two hours away and they treated us like family. Definitely would recommend them to anyone that may need to travel far or needs to be nearby when our little ones are having something medical going on.
