Michaela Schmidta month agoWe had an exceptional stay at The Rand last week. My partner and I got married and looked into room blocks at a dozen different hotels in Minneapolis and we are SO happy we chose The Rand. From our first interaction/inquiry about the room block we were met with professionalism, timeliness, and care. Adam was our contact (he is one of their Senior Sales Managers) and he went above and beyond. He upgraded our room for us, responded quickly and kindly to all of my questions, and truly elevated our stay. He even took a phone call from my sister who was late to get in our block and helped us with early check-ins for our group. The room was beautiful and the rest of the building was stunning!! I wish we would have stayed longer. I cannot recommend this place enough!!!
Jeff Decaignya month agoCheck-in was easy and fairly speedy. Only 1 employee was at the front desk so a line did form behind us. I did not catch the employees name but he was extremely friendly and very helpful. Upgraded our room and accommodated our request for a city facing higher floor room by putting us on the very top floor. We actually ran into him later in the elevator as we were leaving for the Wolves game and he explained the skyway system, the breakfast restaurant and the like on the way down. My only complaint is that the room we got did have water staining / damage on the ceiling that clearly needed to be touched up and the bathroom had some sort of residue / splatter on the wall adjacent the bathroom sink. Bathroom was pretty small in size but did have high quality fixtures however very little water pressure and windows needed cleaning in both the bathroom and bedroom. Room and hotel in general is very art deco and the wall artwork is attractive and interesting. Everything about our visit said 5 stars aside from the repair items needed in our specific room. I would return without hesitation.
Rick Uribe7 months agoThe hotel itself was exceptional and the check-in was as easy as it could be. Front desk was courteous and helpful. I checked in at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday night, Thanksgiving Eve and I checked out at 7:00 in the morning Thanksgiving Day. When I received my folio in an email the next day, there was a charge to my credit card that did not belong to my room. When I called to get the correction they told me that they would have the general manager return my phone call after a couple hours and then my phone call was not returned. So then I called to follow up and the person I spoke with who answered the phone was abrupt with me to the point of being rude. Simply saying, without apology, that the money would be refunded to me. Nothing about my inconvenience. Nothing about my dismay. No excuses but just reiterated the money will be refunded. So I took him to task on that point in our conversation and that's why they get one less star than the full five. The front desk was abrupt and rude while I was calling at 12:30 waiting till after checkout generally. To their credit the amount was reimbursed to my card within the hour.
Sabrina K7 months agoThe hotel is gorgeous, got placed on the 24th floor amazing views. Elevated ceilings in the room makes it feel very elegant . Beautiful rooms. Squishy soft pillows , close to the downtown. And the two young ladies that work Saturday days were so hospitable , exceptional customer service, professional, and courteous. Very good price on rooms as well ! Would come again !
Paul Fuhgeddaboutit Italia5 months agoI had a couple of Issues with the room which I brought to the attention of Director of Operations Nina Voinarovski and WOW she was on top of it. Absolutely amazing Customer Service they started off by giving me a $50 voucher to the Restaurant or Bar and gave me some other adjustments with my stay that were the right way to handle things. Very impressed with her communication throughout the whole process and following up making sure we were happy with everything which we were definitely. Nina is a Rockstar and The hotel is beautiful and well run. We were there for a convention in their building and loved the meeting room setup and all the food and service that came with it. Hotel is very clean and room was very nice with a very nice shower and bathroom.
