Rickya month agoThe Padang is such a significant and open space in Singapore, surrounded by beautiful historical landmarks. It's a great spot for a walk, especially with the views of the National Gallery and the skyline. Very peaceful during the day and has a great atmosphere for events!

Oliver Singh5 months agoThe Padang (Malay for field) is a 4.3-hectare grass field that has functioned as a playing field, parade ground, and civic square since the early 1800s.It was part of the early British encampment in 1819 and has hosted everything from colonial-era sports to modern national events. The field is used for football, rugby, cricket, hockey, frisbee, marathons, and other community activities, managed in part by the Singapore Cricket Club. Around the Padang you have easy access to hotel and mall dining at Raffles City, Capitol, and City Hall/Marina Centre, including spots like Morton's The Steakhouse, Nobu Singapore, and various brasseries and bars.
