  The restaurant was quite overpriced. I liked the room, but honestly I dont think it is worth ~400 CAD without breakfast (May, 2026) per night. The hotel offers some "hidration stations", where you can fill your water bottle or ice bucket. These stations are not present in all floors, but only a few selected ones (you need your room card to access this room). The water pressure at the room could be better. The room was almost quiet but i dont think is sufficiently soundproofed from the corridor, and we can hear the Ottawa train passing. Service was nice, everyone is very kind and show a real willingness to help. The location is good. It is close to most of what the city can offer in terms of tourism. I would probably not stay there again, at least not at full price. I just dont feel like it is worth the price, they dont even include the breakfast. Breakfast is around $35 CAD on weekdays and $26 CAD on weekends (no omelets), before taxes.

  I had a really nice stay on the 10th floor. The room was nice, the service was great, and the bed was comfy. There was some renovations noice during the day but that was all. The elevators made noice going up and down that I could hear in my room but it wasn't too bad, just noticable. The staff were pleasant and offered lots of advice on activities nearby.

  I cannot say enough great things about this place. First of all the location is fantastic, it backs onto Spark street (no road traffic) so if you have little ones, its nice that you dont have to worry about the road traffic. Just watch the cross over roads. This hotel is very quiet but very kid friendly. It has a pool and a teen room with pool, ping pong, basketball court, air hockey, etc, all at no extra charge. It also has a play room with toys for toddlers and an arcade room with games. All of this is on a higher floor, which I loved because it meant the general public didnt have access to it just coming off the street into the main floor. The rooms were very clean, and the tv allowed for streaming from Netflix and YouTube. And the employees were very professional and attentive. If I could give it more stars I would. I will definitely be going back again and the kids can't wait!

  I am a lifetime platinum member of Marriott and of ALL the Marriott hotels, this was absolutely the WORST experience. We were supposedly placed on the upper floors which was supposed to be an upgrade. Unfortunately, it was NOT, as we were put on the same floor with a huge group who had about 6 people in each room with at least 10 of the rooms occupied on the floor. They were extremely noisy yelling in the hallway and slamming the doors as they were constantly going in and out of their rooms. At first we complained at 12:00am and it seems like nothing was done by the Marriott staff. Being Friday night we were being under the assumption that okay it's the weekend. The noise kept going until about 1am. Finally when we were able to sleep at 1am, the banging and yelling started again at 6am. This kept happening until 7:50am when we finally called the front desk with an angry complaint. Our sleep was completely ruined and we were only offered 20k points for our inconvenience which I was not very happy with. I would never stay at the Ottawa Marriot ever again after this awful experience!!!

  I travel very often and stay in different kinds of hotels in different countries. Mostly I stay in Marriott hotels because I am a Marriott Bonvoy Gold member and get the benefits of it. The Marriott hotel in downtown Ottawa is one of the best Marriott hotels in the world. My stay here was wonderful and comfortable. The rooms were very good, clean, newly renovated and spacious. Staff were very cooperative and professional. Especially night staff Farrukh is an extraordinary person, very kind and well mannered. He is always happy to help the guests and he also accepted my early checkin request. Front office staff Elias is also a very nice person and helpful. Manager Gilberto is very considerate and helpful too. Staff at the restaurant were very nice and cooperative and the food was delicious. Service of Starbucks staff at the hotel was very quick and the coffee was excellent!!
