Christina P4 months agoWhat can I say. Been here a few times and each time the experience gets better and better. The rooms are sparkling, the showers are HOT, beds are comfy, the toiletries are luxurious, and the service has been extraordinary. The reception is so kind and helpful, when I asked if they had a communal microwave, they sent one to my room! When I asked Diane for some more body lotion because it smelled so good, Randy rushed to my room with a generous supply that absolutely made my night. Arriving back from outside, the room was prepared for the evening and bed turned down with a nice treat. The robes always make for a very cosy evening. There are many outlets and usb ports in the room. The room service was great, and do check out the gym if you have a chance. They even have a basketball court and tennis(?) court. Lastly, thank you Tibouk (?) for graciously bringing my luggage to the car and making my departure feel so special.
Jenny Ding4 months agoHad a wonderful stay at the Metcalfe Hotel in Ottawa. The hotel was exceptionally clean, and I absolutely loved the interior decor, which was stylish, modern, and very welcoming. The guest services were excellent, with staff who were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. I tried their coffee and desserts, which were all delicious and a lovely added touch since it was conveniently located in their cafe. The location is fantastic; very central to downtown and easily within walking distance of many attractions. The only minor challenge was valet parking, as the surrounding streets are busy and somewhat narrow, making it a bit tricky to navigate. That said, it didn’t detract from the overall experience at all. Overall, a great stay and I would happily return!

What should have been a really stressful situation ended up feeling so much lighter thanks to the kindness and support I received every single day. From the moment I arrived, everyone consistently went above and beyond. The kindness, warmth, and genuine care I received made The Metcalfe feel like a true home away from home. The nightly turn-down service was a small but meaningful highlight, it brought joy during a challenging period. I want to give a special thank you to Damio, Claire, Fumi, Olivia, Julien, Sylva, Ali, Alex, and Sofia. You were all so thoughtful and supportive, and your kindness truly made a difference. And to the team at Cocotte Bistro, Brooke, Gent, Alessandro, Flavia, Camille, Felipe, Nassim, Catherine, Ray, Charles, and so many others whose names I may not remember but whose warmth I will never forget, thank you. Every meal and every interaction felt personal, genuine, and uplifting. To the entire Metcalfe team: thank you for turning a difficult situation into something unexpectedly positive. Your compassion, professionalism, and human touch made these three weeks not just bearable, but actually comforting. I’m incredibly grateful, and I would recommend The Metcalfe to anyone who believes it’s the small, thoughtful details that truly make a place unforgettable.
c white3 months agothe metcalfe is one of the best hotels in ottawa. the service is impeccable. we booked the junior suite. the living room was spacious and nicely decorated. the bed was extremely comfortable, like sleeping on a cloud. i’ve stayed here multiple times and it continues to be my top choice.
Ziyaad Ozeeruna month agoGreat stay and clean rooms. However, the front desk staff provided incomplete information about parking. I was told my only options were $47 valet (with EV charging) or $26 at City Hall. I parked at City Hall for one night, only to find out the next day that the building right behind the hotel (with the banner of hotel) offers $28 overnight parking and has 3-4 free, self-serve EV chargers inside. Good hotel, but staff should inform guests of all their parking options.
