3.5 stars rounded to 4 because for the central location and price, it delivered pretty well. We stayed here for four nights last weekend. Overall, it was comfortable enough and had some definite positives. The location was excellent, the price was hard to beat, the shower was surprisingly great, and despite being a hostel it never felt crowded. That said, there were a few odd things that kept it from being a stronger stay. Around 10:30 one morning while we were still sleeping, someone entered our room and quickly left. It was strange because I’m pretty sure the door was locked, and rooms require key cards. If it was housekeeping or staff, a knock first would’ve been appreciated. Another issue was noise in the mornings. Around 9:00 a.m. one day, the cleaning staff loudly mopped our hallway and woke us up, then came back and did it again roughly an hour later, waking us up a second time. A few smaller things: the elevator is tiny, our key cards randomly stopped working one night and we had to go back downstairs to get replacements, and sadly our room had no windows. Nothing here was a deal breaker, and for the price and location I’d still say it was a decent stay. Just a few frustrating details that added up.

Great stay for 2 days, but since I was sleeping on the upper side of a bunk bed, could barely feel the air conditioning, was a bit hot, would be good if the AC was facing the beds. Also, the stairs were too narrow to climb up and down, wasn’t happy about that. Overall still recommended.

Stayed at a 6 person shared female room, and it was very nice! You have a toilet and shower (which has both shampoo and body wash) attached to the room. There is also a sink with a mirror and lockers. The beds were comfy and had a privacy curtain. The breakfast was pretty good, they had croissants, pancakes, yoghurt and more. At night they had different activities like stand up shows and karaoke. Overall, a great hostel that is located pretty central.

I only stayed for one night in the 4-bed dorm, but with that caveat, the hostel was one of the best I have stayed at, if what you're looking for is a clean, modern (without trying to do too much like some others hostels), and quiet hostel to just sleep in. It was comfortable, had good privacy curtains which blocked out light well, decently sized lockers, and generous space for larger luggage under the bunks. A small shelf for bed-side storage was sufficient along with the light, though a universal socket would have been nice to have (USB ports were provided as well though). The bathroom was all split into a stall each for the toilet and shower, with the sink in the room. Nice for not having the entire bathroom hogged by one person, though I always wish that there would at least be a small sink in the toilet for sanitary reasons... The location was convenient for just walking and also transit, though I'm not sure how great it is late at night. Being summer and ending the day at 9, it seemed fine though it did feel it could be a bit seedy in some nearby areas. It seemed quiet enough to not interrupt my sleep at least. Overall, it was excellent if a bit pricy but I booked late, and I'd say it was still good value apart from the nitpicks I mentioned. I do wish that for the price, a towel was provided, and while I didn't use it, it seemed that luggage storage was a paid service as well.

Great location in the centre of Brussels, clean and modern rooms and cozy common lounge where you can hang out or have a coffee... They even have some (Belgian, of course!) beers on tap available! But the reason I'm writing this review is the service. I left my house keys in my room yesterday, and when I realized and wrote an email, the very helpful staff immediately reassured me with the fact that my keys were safely at the front desk, and they even went above and beyond by suggesting the most convenient option for me to get my keys back. Merci beaucoup Laura and the rest of the Latroupe team for your precious help!
