Katherine Hoodyea week agoHotel Palacio del Rio was a great selection on the river walk. Its has a very upscale entry. My daughter had a lot of fun in the rooftop pool. It had a nice view as well. We had a balcony room with a nice river view. We could see the boat tours as they passed. The beds were so comfy. They left ear plugs on the night stand for us with a note. We didn't realize it until the Spurs won how rowdy it can get on the street. But once the balcony door was closed, all of the noise was blocked out. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Oh, and more importantly, I almost forgot to mention that I left my smart Apple Watch At the hotel. Well, at least I figured that was the last place that I left it. I called them. They sent me to an online website to fill out the description of my red watch. Within aWell, at least I figured that was the last place that I left it. I called them. They sent me to a online site to fill out the description of my red watch. Within a couple hours later, I had an email saying that they've located my watch. The next day I receive my Watch by UPS ground! I was so excited and very grateful and thankful. That tells you a lot about the staff and how they are trained, what their expectations are, ect. Jojo Mitchell2 weeks agoMy family and I were in town for the Women’s International COGIC Convention in San Antonio, Texas. We stayed a week at the hotel and had a wonderful time. The rooms were immaculate and the balcony view was awesome. The staff were very nice and provided exceptional customer service. We had thousands of women and men in attendance at the convention and the staff treated all of us very well. No attitudes or mean expressions, just service with a smile. One particular employee stood out as he helped us get to the airport on time. His name is Jet. He was a God send. Our Uber driver showed up with a small car that was suppose to be a utility vehicle for 4 people and our luggage. Jet saw us trying to figure out a solution and jumped right into action and took us to the airport. We made our flight in time and had time to spare. Thank you Jet for going out of your way and making sure we made our flight back to Florida. He is a great guy and provided spectacular service to us. Ms. Joy and Lajuana Lemon
Alexandra Swanson4 months agoI did not have the pleasure of personally staying on property, but my parents did for their retirement celebration, and I wanted to surprise them with wine in their room upon arrival. The room service staff was incredible, specifically one of the managers Janete! She was so helpful in including a note for them, as well as efficient and communicative to let me know her team took care of it! She also had a wealth of recommendations for their stay!
Tracey Taylora month agoI have been to the Hilton Palacio del Rio many times for both personal and business stays and each time the experience gets better and better! From the moment you are greeted by the friendly faces at the valet parking area to the front desk clerks to the very talented housekeeping folks (I need a class in bedmaking after staying at the Palacio!) to the wait staff at the restaurants, you are treated like you are their one and only guest. Their warm hospitality and big smiles are second to none. The rooms are clean and tidy and kept at the perfect temperature for the season. The view of the Riverwalk is gorgeous and the view of the Tower of the Americas is nostalgic. As you walk through the lobby, be sure to look at the walls as they tell the story of the Palacio and how it was built in record time. True story! I encourage anyone traveling to San Antonio for vacation, or anyone in San Antonio wanting a stay-cation, to check out the Hilton Palacio del Rio on S Alamo Street. You will not be disappointed! Oh and be sure to visit Dirty Nelly's along the river for a nice cold beverage to complete your stay. Guaranteed to leave you laughing from ear to ear!
ShadowHammer2 weeks agoClean rooms, great downtown location, nice and easy pick-up and drop-off at the front door. There is construction going on in front of the location, has nothing to do with the hotel, but it makes traffic a bit annoying with bottlenecks forming. All-in-all, this is a great location to stay in. Oh! And great bar located inside. It's a bit on the pricey side but a very nice environment.
