Honestly, after staying at this hotel, I would probably look for better options nearby. The lobby is nice and the bar area looks pretty attractive, but beyond that, I don’t think the overall experience was worth what you pay. The rooms feel very outdated, and the hotel seems like it needs better maintenance overall. I also think the customer service during check-in could be much better. It was not a particularly pleasant experience and did not feel like the level of service you would expect from this type of hotel. Another important point is the parking, which costs $45 per night. In my opinion, that is very high considering the overall experience. I also noticed piles of sheets left in the hallways overnight, which looked very bad and gave the hotel a neglected appearance. The carpets were also stained, both in the hallways and in other areas of the hotel. Overall, I believe there are better options nearby. I have stayed at other hotels where I actually felt that what I paid was worth it. In this case, honestly, I did not feel that the experience matched the price.
The rooms were loud. Every time the a/c shut off it would make a “crying” sound. Almost sounded like if we had a ghost in our room! A crusty old wash cloth was left on the shower curtain bar! Nasty! There was also a loud rumbling noise coming from the roof top (which was our lovely view out of the slider window). At check out, the clerk wanted to charge me parking, again, in which I stated that parking was already taken care of the prior evening when I checked in. She then seemed puzzled when I told her for the third time, “I am checking out… I’m going home”. -At parking, ($45.00 a night) there was no attendant to raise the crossing bar, so you have to go out the “one way”. As we were leaving we did see a parking attendant, but he was too busy on his phone. -For $230.00 a night, I think I’d try somewhere else. Pricey room. Pricey parking. Pricey breakfast
Staff is outstanding! Very clean and comfortable hotel. However I felt deceived they marketed the rooms with two queen beds. Before check in I asked the front desk again to clarify we were getting queens and they assured me I was getting queen beds. They are full size beds.
We enjoyed our stay at the Hilton. It was easy to get to and check in was a breeze. The rooms were spacious and very clean, I loved how the staff was always around for anything that we needed. The pool was well maintained and was large, plenty of room for swimming. The area right outside the pool was perfect to relax especially at night when the fire pits are turned on. It is located right across the airport which is perfect for those who need a place to stay when traveling and it is also close to the Irvine spectrum which offers shopping and dinning. The in house restaurant called Trellis & Tide also offers delicious food, everything from buffet style breakfast in the morning to great burgers, steak and apps to share. We definitely enjoyed our stay and plan to stay here again when we want to visit the area.
Great experience. I was impressed with the large and bright lobby with lots of seating for working, chatting, relaxing and waiting for the free airport shuttle which was very convenient (though you can literally and safely walk across the street to the airport). The staff stands out at this location, including Luis. Front desk staff are very helpful, responsive and genuinely nice - whether during a late evening check in or crowded check out time. The same goes for the bar staff which were very kind and made great drinks. LOVE the resort-style pool - its large, features great lounge chairs and even a few cabanas. The jacuzzi is also nice. Bar and restaurant food is delicious with several options. A few things to note: the balconies are not exactly balconies which was a disappointment. While you can walk outside onto the balcony, the patio door doesn't open fully on purpose (for safety) so you can only squeeze through the door and stand on the balcony and not sit. There are no microwaves in the room (but there are mini fridges), and you must pay for parking at this site (and there is zero on-street parking options in the neighborhood). Great location for university, beaches and things to do. I would definitely return.
