Staff was super friendly, even when i called to ask where the ice machine is. Small pantry has items for sale if you dont want to go out anywhere. Lots of shopping and eats nearby within walking distance. Breakfast provided in the morning is the best i have seen for complimentary meals. Our view was nice, though we did pay extra for an upgrade that was well worth it for us. This is our go to hotel anytime we go to Disneyland or downtown for shopping. Never fails to meet all our expectations and beyond. Highly recommended.
We had a good experience one night at this hotel as a base of operations for visiting the Disney parks. It's 10 minutes or so away from the resort...we came in the night before with the intention of being close enough to get to the park when it opened. We drove to the park from the hotel as we didn't want to spend the extra time at the end of our day making our way back to the hotel to get the car. This was convenient for our needs but probably a mistake as the time it took to get into the parking lot, on the tram etc took a lot longer than we'd wanted. In retrospect we should have taken advantage of the shuttle from the hotel both in terms of saving parking money as well as time. The hotel itself is nice and on brand with any other Embassy Suites we've been too...very similar overall. We travel with our son and like to have a separate space so having an all suites hotel with a separate room for us to be in with a door that closes...especially at the same price or less than what it might cost to get a basic room at another hotel is huge. Our room was clean. The breakfast opened early enough for us to get what we needed before heading to the park. The coffee was good! If you're traveling with a family, this is a great option near the Disney Resort. Just consider using the local ART shuttle to get right to the entrance plaza of the park and avoid all the extra parking time.
Overall, good experience here. Staff have been friendly and helpful throughout our stay, the room was super clean. The included breakfast is genuinely good, and makes mornings a lot easier. No major issues. Couple of minor frustrations- first, the AC in the room is really, really loud. Not the end of the world, I just put some ear plugs in, but it is annoying throughout the day, and while trying to sleep. Second, they really emphasize that you get 'free drinks' during happy hour, 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. when we went to have our free drinks, it turns out we have to stand in a weird separate lineup, and the 'free drinks' are only Bud light, and nothing else lol. It is a perk, it's just kind of misleading. It's an easy walk to the convention center, and probably to Disney as it's just across the street from the convention center. 20 minutes or so. Lots of great restaurants around. Will stay here again.
I stayed at the Embassy Suites this past weekend, and it was such a great experience! The free breakfast was awesome — lots of variety and fresh omelets made to order. Our room was super spacious, perfect if you have kids who like to run around. It was basically a mini suite with a fridge and microwave, which was really convenient. The hotel’s location was great too — right on a busy street, so you can easily walk around and explore. Definitely staying here again next time!
5 Stars All Around!! In comparison to all other hotels in the Anaheim Resort area, including the on-property Disney hotels, this Embassy Suites provides the most value for your hard earned dollar. Between the recent renovations, proximity to all the action down Harbor, the large rooms, great views, the breakfasts, complimentary happy hour and the hotel amenities…. You just can’t beat it!! The friendly and accommodating staff is the icing on the cake & cheery on top.
Bottom line
Embassy Suites by Hilton, Anaheim South suits events that match its capacity and space profile in Anaheim. Use the figures above to check your headcount and room needs, then confirm dates, setup and pricing directly.
