We arrived early after a long international flight and were happy to find that we were able to check in early without additional fees. The reception staff were easy to speak with although not overly friendly or welcoming, we needed to ask several varying questions to get the basic information we needed regarding our stay. Nowhere in my booking or fine print did it say there would be $200 hold on my credit card which wouldn’t be released for 3-5 business days- this came as a suprise and impacted our available funds during our stay as we hadn’t budgeted for the extra fee / hold. Our room was larger than expected which was great as we are travelling with our 20 yr old daughter and were concerned the room would be too small. The bathroom was a good size and the fact there was a bath tub was awesome - especially after long days at Disney when you just want to relax and soak your tired and sore feet. We were surprised the there was NO HOUSE KEEPING at all during our stay, we have never encountered this anywhere across the world when travelling. We had to remove our rubbish and put it in a communal bin near the lifts as it was never removed over our 4 nights, we also had to request clean towels, toilet paper and more paper cups for our coffee. We asked the front desk and they obliged but it felt like we were an inconvenience to them for asking. The location of the hotel is fantastic, we did walk to Downtown Disney one night which took around 20 minutes, you can also catch the courtesy bus to the parks which leave regularly all day from 7am until 11:15pm. We were able to go back to the hotel late in the afternoon to change into warmer clothes and head back to the parks for the night, we were also able to go across the road and have a late dinner quickly before returning to the bus stop and getting one of the last buses back. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but feel it needs to be disclosed about the hold payments as not everyone can afford to not have access to their funds for the length of their stay plus a few extra days after checkout. Most of the front desk staff seemed helpful, but the one lady who served us several times seemed miserable and made us feel we were inconveniencing her by asking questions or making basic requests.
I’ve been coming to this hotel for about 10 years. The grounds and lobby are well-maintained, beautiful even - rose garden, koi pond, family of ducks, nice breakfast… But I’ve noticed that over the years the rooms have suffered. Things are run down, maintenance deferred. The niceness of the lobby and grounds no longer match the rooms. I was also very disappointed to learn that they only provide housekeeping services every 3 NIGHTS! I find this unacceptable. I still highly recommend the hotel for short stays to Disneyland. Their shuttle service is excellent and reliable. Proximity is terrific. But get ready to be nickle and dime’d here. One big plus: charging stations in the parking lot.
We stayed 4 nights and went to Disneyland. We chose this hotel due to pricing and shuttle. The hotel is not run down looking at all. It’s just older and somewhat outdated with popcorn ceilings in the room. The couch bed is super thin and not comfortable at all. Furniture is older looking too. The room was clean with no pests which I greatly appreciate. Quiet most of the time except when fireworks occur nightly. They don’t last long. No breakfast included but does have a few restaurants on the premises although we used DoorDash for our dining. Pool and gym. The gym was nice and we used it. Mornings at 7am is busy with a line waiting for shuttle. One day we waited and 2 shuttles had already gone by picking up people and we still couldn’t get a ride so we called a LYFT. It was way faster than standing in the long line. Now the issue with water. One night we waited for at least 10 mins for the shower to warm up. I almost called front desk. Not sure if it’s due to the hotel being old. One morning the hot water was running out fast so we had to hurry and shower quickly. Seems their water heaters needs to be checked or maybe it’s old and can’t handle the demand. AC worked great! WiFI was lousy. First night front desk sent us to an elevator in the center of the hotel which was so far away from our room. We ended up discovering a closer elevator which was way more convenient. Not sure why she sent us to one that was so far originally. Also, beware of steps throughout the halls where rooms are located “garden tower rooms”. We had to carry luggage up & down halls and some stairs before reaching our room. It’s an awkward set up. Not many steps but there are some in the garden tower room are based on what I saw.. I don’t think we will be staying here again. Next time I’ll get something across the street from Disney and just pay the cost for convenience. I originally thought this hotel was the only one offering shuttle but it’s not. Saw a few other shuttles from other hotels.
Our room were spacious and clean, the beds were comfortable but the bathroom was small and outdated. The doors are loud when shutting and you can hear EVERYTHING your neighbors are doing. On our last night our neighbors had a huge argument (@2am) and security had to be called. That being said the front desk lady's were amazing about it and so apologetic for the inconvenience. And the manager was helpful the morning after when checking out. Would definitely stay again just for the great staff, shuttle and proximity to everything.
My family and I stayed here for three days at Disneyland and We were pleasantly surprised. The shuttles were convenient, they fill up fast but they usually have multiple running back and forth. Our room was spacious and the beds and pillows were surprisingly comfortable! My only complaint was how tiny the bathroom was. Sink, toilet and shower all crammed into the same tiny area so it's hard to be getting ready while another person is showering. Our stay came with a free breakfast buffet each day, which wasn't the best. It was pretty much the same each day, scrambled eggs (super runny!!) but you can order fresh eggs, bacon was delicious, sausage, fruit, oatmeal bar, yogurt bar, juices, cereal, coffee. The hotel grounds were beautiful. Staff was very friendly!! We would definitely stay here again.
