Muhammad Zia Mehmooda week agoGood food, awesome vibes, fast and polite service. One quick tip: save the pineapple juice for either during or after eating. Otherwise it messes with taste buds and you don't get to fully enjoy the meal. Loved the fresh juices. Chicken was good (get the regular chicken kabob and not the bbq one -- the latter is just the former with not so gr8 bbq sauce on it), lamb shank was incredible. Def recommend this place!
Luis Lagunes4 weeks agoGroup got Lamb Shank, Beef Gyro, Lamb Kebab and Fresh Juice. Shank was super juicy and tender. Gryo meat was probably the most flavorable. Kebab was pretty good but a little chewy but thats to be expected with kebab. Dishes came with Rice and fruit. Fruit was super super fresh and tasted great. Rice was probably the best rice ive had anywhere. Juice was served in watermelon and pineapple, very refreshing and was about $8 which sounds pretty reasonable to me. Will definitely be coming back
La'Quadra Neala month agoI’ve seen La Mama on Too Good To Go app. I was confused because I didn’t know if it was a Mexican coffee shop or something else. A few weeks ago I picked up a DoorDash and was speaking to the owner. She explained the restaurant. Last night I picked up a Too Good To Go for myself. I was surprised that she recognized me. I immediately loved her attention to detail. On to the food, it’s FIREEEEE. It’s so delicious and the quantity was massive. The shank was sooo tender. The rice and the sauces were flavorful. I loved seeing how the plates were adorned with fresh fruit for the customers eating in. I will be back to try the drinks.
Tajudin Aliya month agoThe most amazing experience we’ve had outside of a fancy restaurant. This place deserves more than 5 stars honestly. The owners are great— a cute Yemeni/Somali family owned restaurant. The food was beyond what I expected. The lamb shank was especially delicious and cooked and marinated to perfection. Bless this family and their hands. You NEED to come here ASAP.
APG SSPa month agoWe decided to have lunch at La Mama after my daughter finished a performance at The Conn Theatre across the street. We viewed the online menu before going and you really do eat with your eyes. What you see online is what you get and more. I enjoyed the grilled salmon and she had the Philly cheesesteak. The flavors were phenomenal and everything was prepared fresh. Delicious!
