  I started going to Exotic Pets for my corn snake and was always happy with the frozen mice and other misc supplies, so I decided when I wanted a ball python that I'd start there. I got my Ball Python from Exotic Pets on March 28th, 2026. Her hatch day was listed as September 4th, 2025, which would put her at almost 7 months old when I brought her home. 5 days after purchasing her I tried giving her her first rat and she rejected it. Her body did not look great, so after she rejected it I took her out and weighed her and she was only 65 grams! at 7 months! The photo I attached is one taken that day, 5 days after bringing her home. I called the store to ask them if they would contact the breeder to confirm the hatch date and the employee said the store owner said it would be too difficult to do that, so I have to assume that she was only 65 grams at 7 months old. If she isn't 7 months old, then why was her hatch date listed as such? After 3 food rejections I got her a live rat and she finally ate that and has been eating well ever since. I would recommend Exotic Pets for their supplies and frozen mice/rats, but I would not recommend buying your pets from them. I really wish they had cared enough to help when I called.

  Ok I have a love and passion for Exotic Pets and I’ve always loved the Wichita location…. . For my review I’m going to focus mostly on the invert room. The positives: the staff were so nice and friendly. Especially to my kiddos. Their enclosures for all animals seemed pretty decent and up to par. Staff seemed fairly knowledgeable. The cons (again focusing on the invert room): It took a while to have anyone back there, understandably to a degree due to how tucked away it is. Over half of the Tarantulas specifically didn’t have their scientific names on the label- which if you know tarantulas can be a little difficult to work around. The prices were the real kicker for me. A singular female Balfouri without enclosure was $200 🫪 Just last week I had found 4, with enclosure, for $400 so I found this insane. Again, staff is knowledgeable and really nice. Which is the main reason I can confidently still give 4 stars.

  Store was very clean staff were friendly. Baylee was very knowledgeable and helpful. She taught us about the reptiles in the store and helped pick out a new friend for our brother. We'll be back again soon.

  So on July 2nd I purchased a baby banana ball python from exotic and here we are barely 2 weeks and he had unfortunately passed away. I talked to so many different breeders and reptile stores about him. His behavior from day 1 was very off. I really don't recommend them for buying pets.
