I had a wonderful experience recently checking in to this hotel thanks to Veronica at the front desk. She was patient, accommodating, and genuinely seemed to care. Customer service like that makes a huge difference. As flight crew, I stay in hotels all the time, and Veronica truly stood out not just to me, but to our entire crew. It’s rare to experience service that thoughtful and welcoming. Thank you, Veronica, for going the extra mile and making us feel welcome. Employees like you are the reason people come back!
This is our third time staying here. Every time we are in the OC, we choose this hotel. Close to everything, safe and quiet area. The breakfast is such a step above other chains and much appreciated every morning. The evening happy hour is also a great plus. The rooms aren’t updated but didn’t seem as old as others made it sound. Everything was very clean and functional, no complaints. Also it’s so quiet, we slept so well and didn’t hear any noises from other rooms. My only complaint is the cost of parking. $37 seems so excessive for the area and almost made us book another hotel. That being said, it’s an easy in and out and always plenty of spaces.
0 stars if possible! Terrible experience with the room and service. I'll let the pictures / videos speak for themselves! 1) They swapped me to a different room than what I pre-paid for. (paid for city view, got a corner) 2) Front desk unwilling to help and also very rude + disrespectful (this is what led me to post this review) 3) No essentials, even on the first day -- there was 0 soap. Also very bad toilet paper, extremely thin 4) Many things not working, like microwave, fridge and even the washer/dryer. The dryer opens on its own. Please see pictures / videos as proof. Had to air dry my items 5) Everything is restrictive, lights are dim, they have sensors and turn off by themselves all the time, even if you're in the area. TVs turn off on its own, heating and AC extremely wonky 6) Expensive rooms, yet they're very stingy on everything. Even the wall plugs feel throttled down or broken. My phones took triple the normal time to charge 7) Dusty and very old feeling rooms, check the pictures attached 8) VIP member rewards is 2 drinks between 5:00-6:30pm only, so they purposely put a time you're not going to be able to use it. They know your checkout is 11am 9) Nothing really around this area and cell service is very bad Sometimes due to a busy work schedule I would go past those annoying issues and put up with it, however the rude service is where I draw the line. They tried to blackmail me into staying in a room I did not book and would not post a refund for a cancellation even though the error is on their end. It's ok, I'm fortunate enough to sacrifice those funds. Looks like they need it more than me. I booked elsewhere and couldn't be happier, trust me, just do a search around the Irvine Spectrum area instead, you won't regret it. Cheers!
Flight attendant review here. I Love this location, very relaxing atmosphere. Staff goes beyond and very knowledgeable of area. Staff is friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean and always welcoming. Rooms are always clean with plenty of space for guest. You can your connect Netflix and YouTube to the tv, which is a plus for frequent travelers. Definitely recommend staying here.
I rarely write hotel reviews, but this Embassy Suites truly deserves one. The staff here were exceptional. Karen at the front desk was incredibly friendly and patient—when the hotel shuttle was busy, she arranged a Lyft for us, and even helped again when we couldn’t find the pickup spot. Her cheerful and calm attitude really eased our stress and made a big difference for anxious travelers like us. Another front desk staff member, Scotti (apologies if I got the name wrong!), was also amazing. I had a random request—asking for a small screwdriver to fix my five-year-old son’s toy. While the hotel didn’t have one to lend, Scotti kindly offered her own little multi-tool called a “Wallet Ninja.” It worked perfectly, and my son was thrilled to thank her in person. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the shuttle service was prompt and reliable. However, some of the facilities are showing their age. The bathroom door in our room was warped and rubbed against the floor, and the toilet often didn’t flush properly. Despite these maintenance issues, the kindness of the staff made our stay truly enjoyable.
