702. I had an outstanding stay at Sonesta Anaheim Resort Area! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located, making it easy to enjoy everything Anaheim has to offer. The staff was friendly from the moment I arrived, but I especially want to recognize Ichel for providing exceptional hospitality. She went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, was incredibly kind and attentive, and made sure every part of my stay was enjoyable. Her professionalism and genuine care truly made a lasting impression. Thank you, Ichel, for making my visit so memorable! I highly recommend Sonesta Anaheim Resort Area and will definitely be staying here again.
If you enjoy being kept awake by every little noise from your neighbors, this is the hotel for you. I was woken up around 12:30 a.m. by knocking next door and could hear nearly everything coming from the neighboring room. It sounded as if the people next door had just returned from the park, and I could clearly hear their entire conversation including them looking for a blue sweater. The walls are so thin that it felt like they were standing in the corner of my room. I'm currently staying here and have gotten almost no sleep. The beds are extremely hard, uncomfortable, squeaky, and honestly feel like sleeping on the floor. They are also noticeably smaller than the beds offered at most other hotels in the area. I've stayed at nearly every hotel in Anaheim, and this has been by far the worst experience. Between the noise, the uncomfortable beds, and the small beds accommodations, I would not stay here again. I’ve never written a review before that’s how dissatisfying this hotel is.
The highlight was the general cleanliness and kind staff. The downsides were everything else. The website is purposefully obsfuscatory on the "free breakfast"- only their more expensive location next door offers it. Their pool is also (not mentioned to be, of course) under renovations indefinitely. The hotel rooms are bare bones with a microwave, a mini fridge and $7 bottles of water. The restaurant costs about as much as any family diner in the area, maybe a little more, and is only open at select times. Their store is absurdly priced with maybe a dozen options. The shower is abysmally shaped in a weird, clunky hexagonal shape with water pressure of vegetable misters at the grocery store. The wifi is "free", and the significantly better version is priced for a modest $9.99 a day. And for the cremé de la crop, a few floors stink of cigarettes. Also, the view of the Disney fireworks is non-existent. The best you get is the parking lot and a stunning view of the better hotels nearby.
Overall good experience rooms were very clean and in good shape, staff was very friendly and always greeted us upon arrival. Only thing to really complain about is the doors for the rooms don’t seal up at all and you can hear tons of hallway noise. In addition a heads up that the pool was closed before we arrived would have been nice. Other wise great stay, will stay again
Great staff! all so polite and friendly. We were very comfortable during our stay. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Only a 10 minute drive to Disneyland. The ART buses discontinued March 2026 but the uber ride was around $9 it’s about 7 minutes to the Anaheim Convention Center which was the man purpose for my trip. Unfortunately, the pool wasn’t against yet and that was probably the only downside other than that I’d say it was 10/10 & I highly recommend!
