The highlight was the general cleanliness and kind staff. The downsides were everything else. The website is purposefully obsfuscatory on the "free breakfast"- only their more expensive location next door offers it. Their pool is also (not mentioned to be, of course) under renovations indefinitely. The hotel rooms are bare bones with a microwave, a mini fridge and $7 bottles of water. The restaurant costs about as much as any family diner in the area, maybe a little more, and is only open at select times. Their store is absurdly priced with maybe a dozen options. The shower is abysmally shaped in a weird, clunky hexagonal shape with water pressure of vegetable misters at the grocery store. The wifi is "free", and the significantly better version is priced for a modest $9.99 a day. And for the cremé de la crop, a few floors stink of cigarettes. Also, the view of the Disney fireworks is non-existent. The best you get is the parking lot and a stunning view of the better hotels nearby.
Great staff! all so polite and friendly. We were very comfortable during our stay. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Only a 10 minute drive to Disneyland. The ART buses discontinued March 2026 but the uber ride was around $9 it’s about 7 minutes to the Anaheim Convention Center which was the man purpose for my trip. Unfortunately, the pool wasn’t against yet and that was probably the only downside other than that I’d say it was 10/10 & I highly recommend!
The website promised a number of amazing amenities that were 'almost' too good to be true. Well they were..... 1. no pool( It's broken down and they informed us that we could walk to another pool nearby and use their towels to prove we're staying at the Sonesta) 2.no shuttle (Even though it's repeatedly advertised on their website. They informed us they haven't had shuttle service since February.) 3. Bad wifi (My cell phone service was better. You had to pay an extra fee every day to get semi decent wifi) 4. tiny beds (I have no idea what size beds are in a double but it's not a standard queen or full) 5. Dangerous shower (We moved to an ADA room due to my disability and the shower wasn't designed properly. It leaked into the middle of the bathroom and I almost slipped and fell. We had to pack towels around the edge of the shower) 6. no breakfast (Also repeatedly advertised on the website. We had to eat breakfast and hunt down coffee in Disneyland every day) 7. Poor customer service (Took us our entire trip of bartering to get them to refund us for the parking charge of $37 every day which is $3 shy of parking at Disneyland which we also had to pay for due to no shuttle) 8. No housekeeping (We had to actively request them to clean our room daily and get new towels daily. The cleaning wasn't the best but you could tell they did do something) If I had known they didn't have any of the amenities promised, I wouldn't have bothered coming here. With all the inconveniences that added unexpected fees, we could've just stayed at an actual Disney resort. I definitely would not recommend.
Not great. Because of difficulties with our trailer we booked this hotel for our Disney vacation last minute because it has low rates for the area and seemed like it might be good value. When we got to the room we found the toilet backed up and not flushing. Someone was sent within a couple of hours to plunge it but even afterwards it flushed very weakly. The next day it backed up again and someone was sent to plunge it, but again it only returned to barely flushing. My family doesn’t trust it and now everyone is going all the way downstairs to the lobby to use the restroom. As this was happening I was texted one of those generic “please tell us how it’s going” messages from the hotel. I texted back with the above and am still waiting to hear back almost 24 hours later. In the meantime I spoke again to the front desk in person about this and they were friendly and did offer to move me to a different room. However, we have a lot of stuff and don’t want to potentially go to all the trouble of moving it all to a room which may be no better. For all I know all the rooms have the same unreliable, cheap, low water pressure toilets. I understand that “you get what you pay for” but a reliable functioning toilet for a $200 a night hotel room seems to me to be a reasonable minimum expectation. I’m giving 2 stars instead of one for the good price and the fact that the staff have all been friendly even as I’ve harped repeatedly to them about the toilet.
I recently stayed here overnight for an impromptu Disneyland visit. Sonesta offered a wonderful package that included 4 day-passes on the ART (shuttles around the Anaheim area, including Disney) and parking. We arrived early and were shocked to be able to check in (at 9 AM!). The staff was super friendly, helpful, responsive, and attentive. I was hesitant to stay here due to conflicting reviews from others, but those issues were unsubstantiated. We found the rooms to be very clean, well appointed, and comfortable. We didn't hear any noise from other guests. The property included ample parking and the shuttle location was easy to find, well lit, and felt very safe. This is a great, budget-friendly place to stay if you're looking for a property close to Disney, but slightly away from the hustle and bustle of the main area. I would stay here again.
