Allison Brooks3 weeks agoThe hotel rooms smell musty and moldy. We booked online on the way down to Nashville super excited as we love Hilton and double tree properties. The lobby is nice, the Starbucks nice, the rooms disgusting. I do not recommend. They gave us a small corner room that you can barely move around in. The bathroom is the worst, the toilet sits literally right in front of the mirror and sink and shower. You have to maneuver your body around into a corner to shut the bathroom door to get to the shower. Not worth the money. We felt like unwanted guests when they stuck us in this room. By the time we arrived we had already driven hours and unloaded the vehicle and didn’t want to have to go back down to the lobby for a second time and ask for another room that didn’t stink and wasn’t so cramped. We had already asked the gentleman to put us in a king size room instead of two double beds once prior to getting this room. Overall we will not stay here again. I do not recommend go somewhere else.
Elmer Horval3 weeks agoAt first glance Double Tree appears upscale. Valet parking, well groomed and dressed receptionist , but it ends there. Our room was small and in need of some tlc. The amenities were basically zilch. No laundry, no pool, no free breakfast . Just beware, it's location is good for walking down to Broadway and the Ryman but your car is basically held hostage and an obligatory tip is expected to aquire it. It's also $55. dollars a day to park. So your getting a room with a lot of extra expenses. The breakfast buffet for $20 though was superb.
Melissa Kintona month agoI spent $600 for one room that costs $100 any other day. Rates were jacked up because there was a concert that night at Nissan Stadium. Most hotels participate in this rate gouging - it should be illegal - but I almost don't mind if it's worth it. This property is not worth $600/night. Stay somewhere else. BTW when I booked this room it was $480. By the time I checked out it was $600 (room, parking + 2 yogurt bowls with OJ). I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 2 because the rooms were actually clean, the beds were comfortable and the staff in the dining area was extremely nice. The elevator from ground to lobby was out and the AC was not working properly anywhere.
Joanne Feaster8 months agoExcellent hotel with a very friendly staff!!!!! Awesome bar/restaurant! Great ice cold tap beer!! Wonderful Starbucks in the lobby!!! Super clean place with comfy bed and amazing shower!! If by chance you think it’s a tad warm in your room put the fan on high instead of auto and it will make a huge difference!!! My only some what negative critique would be not enough light in the room but other than that I would highly recommend!!!! And definitely will stay at this hotel again and again!!!!
Kelli Kisera month agoWe were there for a boxing match hosted in an upstairs event space. The space was nice. However, the gentleman ringing up your refreshment purchases automatically added a tip every time. I didn’t see any signage about an automatic tip being a requirement and it was not verbally mentioned so that was a bit annoying. I always tip well but that type of practice doesn’t sit well with me.
