TLDR; Comfortable and spacious room. Mile walk to Disneyland. $35 for parking, no free breakfast. Mediocre. We stayed here for a Disneyland trip. We've stayed at many of the hotels along Harbor Blvd, and this one is quite a bit back, almost in Garden Grove, and 1.2 miles from the entrance to Disneyland. We still walked there, but took an Uber back every evening. Room was nice, beds were comfortable. We're a family of 5, so we opt for a suite or two rooms, whenever we travel. We chose the suite with bunk beds. I loved the layout of the room for a family. Walls were thin, I prefer to stay on the top floor, but best they could do was third. The people above us were stomping all over the place. The people in the room next to us were blasting music. Sauna was a little on the cool side, but we still enjoyed it. Elevator was sluggish, and then it broke right when we were trying to take our luggage down to our car, but they had someone working on it. Front desk staff was a little frustrating to deal with. I called and was immediately placed on hold without any greeting; I found that rude. I called and was told my call would be returned, and it wasn't. When I checked in, front desk staff asked how many bottles of water I would like, I let them know there were five in my family. He said he would give me two waters, and I could purchase the rest. I stood in front of the front desk to check out, and no one acknowledged me; I had to wait for them to finish their side conversation. Not even a simple, "we'll be right with you." Wasn't pleased with having to pay $35 a night for parking, especially since the front desk staff never informed me of the cost, and I had to find out during checkout. Disappointed in no free breakfast. Housekeeping was great. Overall, the hotel was nice and clean, but with SO MANY options nearby, I won't stay here again, for a mediocre experience. My bit of advice, would be to offer Free Parking for hotel guests, or at least Bonvoy Members, and give yourself a niche.
We arrived very late at night and was so tired,Marylin was very friendly and helpful checking us in. The rooms are clean and beds were comfy. Definitely recommend the hotel! And shout out to Marylin for making us feel so welcome and smiling after a long day of driving. Also real close to Disney, you can walk if you like.
I’ve only been here for one day on a two day stay and I must say I am impressed. I reserved the double queen room with two bunk beds. Room is immaculate. Customer Service is 10 out of 10. Checked in within 5 minutes of arrival. Matthew was a great help. Arrived with my two daughters, one was turning 15. We flew in from Texas without any expectations of celebrating with balloons and household items but Matthew took care of that for us. He ensured my daughter had the small mementos that were very special to her and we appreciated it.
I honestly had a very disappointing experience. The hotel was not comfortable at all. The fire alarm kept going off during the night, making it impossible to get a good night’s sleep. It felt like a nightmare. On top of that, the coffee machine in the room didn’t work. I expected much better from a Marriott property. I wouldn’t stay here again.
⭐ 1 Star – Worst Marriott Experience I’ve Ever Had Absolutely unacceptable experience. My children were left stranded after this hotel confirmed over the phone that guests who were 18 years or older could check in. However, when they arrived, they were suddenly denied a room and left without accommodations for the night. What made the situation even worse was the way the staff handled it. My children were treated poorly, made to feel unwelcome, and left embarrassed and humiliated. When I called to resolve the issue, the front desk refused to speak with me and claimed there was no manager available. Rather than offering assistance or trying to find a solution, they left my children sitting in their car trying to figure out where they were going to sleep. No family should ever be put in that position because of inaccurate information and a complete lack of customer service. This situation was entirely avoidable had the hotel communicated its policies correctly from the beginning. To make matters worse, the hotel has since refused to answer or return phone calls regarding the incident. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic compassion shown throughout this experience was shocking. As a Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite member, I expected far better treatment and customer service. Instead, our family was left dealing with unnecessary stress and uncertainty because of the hotel’s failure to honor the information provided by its own staff. Leaving two young adults stranded late at night with nowhere to go is irresponsible and unacceptable. I would strongly caution others before booking here, especially families or anyone relying on information provided by the front desk. What should have been a routine check-in turned into a stressful and upsetting ordeal. If I could give zero stars, I would. This was, without question, the worst Marriott experience I have ever had. After this incident, I would choose a Hilton property over this hotel any day. Travelers deserve accurate information, professional service, and basic respect. Unfortunately, this hotel provided none of those things. Totally disappointed and disgusted by the way my family was treated. No guest should ever be left stranded because of a hotel’s failure to communicate and provide competent customer service.
