My deposit was never refunded because they told me there was dog fur in the room which I find ridiculous because that was part of the reason I booked there so I could bring my dog. They claim to be pet friendly but keep my deposit because there was dog fur in the room, of course there would be its spring and most dogs are shedding. The redheaded manager is very rude and un accommodating and refused to return my deposit. I will never again visit that location again. The should not be calling themselves pet friendly if dog fur is a problem and that manager has a terrible attitude and very rude and un friendly it would be in Best Westerns best interest to terminate her.
The place is nice, wife and I come here at least 2 times a year to visit our son and fam, this time is was different as always breakfast lady amazing cleaning ladies on everything we appreciate much. Genesis checked us in she is very sweet how ever we asked for extra blanket and the night guy said they don't keep extra ones. Early morning we asked again and he said I told you we dont have extra ones very bussy on his phone (loud movie or what ever he was watching) and also heard loud noise from work computer very unprofessional. Thankfully we called later and they sent us one with out a problem
This Best Western in Renton has an excellent location. You really couldn’t ask for much better. It's right near major freeways, making it easy to get to downtown Seattle, the Eastside, or head south. The area also felt safe, which is always a plus. The building itself is very well done and feels modern. Everything looked updated, including the rooms, and cleanliness clearly seemed to be a priority. I regularly saw housekeepers cleaning throughout the day, not just during room turnovers. The fitness room was especially impressive, easily double the amount of equipment I’ve seen at other Best Western locations. Breakfast went above and beyond the standard Best Western spread. In addition to eggs, sausage, and hash browns, they offered biscuits and gravy, waffles, yogurt, fresh fruit, boiled eggs, and even a coffee/espresso machine. Definitely one of the better hotel breakfasts I’ve had. The laundry facility was very basic, just one washer and one dryer, and both were on their last legs, but it got the job done. There were two downsides to my stay. The biggest issue was the internet. It was very spotty throughout the day and repeatedly kicked me off, requiring constant re-logins. This was especially frustrating since I needed reliable Wi-Fi for work on my laptop. The second downside was the staff. Unfortunately, they didn’t feel very friendly or welcoming. During check-in, basic information like breakfast hours or where amenities were located wasn’t explained, and when I asked questions, the staff member seemed annoyed. I stayed for nearly a week and never once had a front desk employee greet me or say hello while passing through the lobby. Overall, the location, cleanliness, and amenities were great, but the inconsistent internet and lack of friendly customer service held this location back from being a 5-star stay.
We have been a rewards member for many years and normally stay at this location when we travel through the Seattle area mostly because of the location. The rooms have always been ok. On our last trip we were traveling from Tucson to Seattle then home to Alaska .We made our reservation a few weeks ahead of time. While traveling through Phoenix we were in a car accident that delayed our travel a day. We had 3 hotels booked one at BW in Kingmen AZ, My Place in Idaho Falls and this one BW Renton. We called all three to cancel and reschedule. The BW in Kingman said, Are you ok ? no problem, no charge. My Place same thing no problem no charge. This hotel BW in Renton said we need 72 hours notice you will be charged. We booked for the following day thinking that we would show them the accident report and they would reverse the charge when we checked out we saw they charged us for a no show we asked to talk to manager. We were told she wasn't there. Was told to come back the next day, came back she wasn't there. We were told she was not going to refund our money. Needless to say we not be staying at this hotel again and we rethink other future stays at Best Western Hotels
Dirty Bedsheets, No Housekeeping + No Clean Towels During Our Stay Our stay was two nights. On the first night while going to sleep, we noticed dirty bedsheets and pillows on both beds with strands of hairs that did not belong to anyone in our group (different hair color and length) After called front desk, we need to went down get the clean sheets AND change bedsheet, pillow cases by ourselves cuz no housekeeping on duty. The next day, our room didn’t get housekeeping services even though we told the receptionist the night before and we were out of the hotel since 11AM with the Do Night Disturb sign taken down. When we came back at night, as we did not have clean towels, we asked the receptionist for clean towels and only received two bath towels (the only ones the hotel had) for our group of 4. The only two service stars, one for breakfast lady so nice and working so har; one for the night front desk lady who brought us some more clean towels from somewhere maybe some empty rooms. WILL NOT RECOMMEND BEST WESTERN PLUS RENTON INN to anyone, due to the poor housekeeping service and management team!! Emailed to management team on May 7 at 2pm. Still no reply.
