Shez Amin3 weeks agoThe hotel might be a bit dated, but I promise you that the warm welcome & the hospitality that the team gives you is just hands down amazing! Rudy was extremely helpful throughout our 5 night stay during the NBA Finals Game 1 & Game 2. Autumn always checked up on us and Veronica attended any issues we had during the day. We are still here and will check out in 2 more days. Thank you to everyone. Your valuable time & kind concern is much appreciated.
Lauren Huxford2 weeks agoThe Emily Morgan Doubletree Hilton is a great experience. The rooms are clean and nice, the beds are comfy, and the location is right across the street from the Alamo and within walking distance to the Riverwalk, shops, and good restaurants. The only thing that was terrible was the restaurant, but I only ate there once. Once was enough. But it is super close to all kinds of other food choices, from fast food (Chic fil a, Subway, etc.), to breakfast choices (IHOP, Alamo Biscuit Company, etc.) and other lunch and dinner options. Don't pay for the hotel breakfast and don't eat at Oro their restaurant. Other than that, it was perfect, so, the hotel still gets 5 stars. The free cookie makes up for the yucky dinner.
Ryan Hammonda month agoThis place was awesome and truly spooky haha. Stayed on the 14th floor and you can smell hospital it was crazy. No other floors smelled like that. Going back to the room at night the emergency exit door opened up on its own which was really spooky and the hallway got super cold. Fun place to stay and spooky at the same time. Everything was very clean and warm cookies provided upon check in!
David Leymeister3 months agoOverall this hotel was alright. The staff and service was very attentive and friendly. The hotel is also in a beautiful location across from the Alamo. The rooms however leave a lot to be desired. They were very clean on a positive note and the bed was comfortable. However most of the outlets in the room need replacing. The lamp outlets at the bed were not working. Some of the wall outlets also did not hold the plug in well. Also the air conditioner did not seem to be working easily. It was just blasting cold air no matter what temperature it was set to. So overall a fine hotel but the rooms need a lot of love to justify the price.
TravelR7 months agoVery quick ride from the airport. Right across the street from the Alamo and close to the Riverwalk. Staff are super friendly. This hotel is in need of a serious refurbishment. Hair in the tub but probably hard for the cleaning staff to see as very dim lit bathroom and the tub and surround need to be replaced. No controlled exhaust fan which is why im guessing they throttle back the water temp, allowing for only a moderately warm shower and no condensation. The a/c is responsive but could not control the fan speed so had to listen to it turning on and off all the time. Poor noise insulation as you can hear everything outside the hotel and inside the hallways. Comfortable bed and pillows. Room smelled like it used to be a smoking room they tried to cover up with some sort of deodorizer. Would not stay hear again.
