Great location for convention goers. There are plenty of places to dine ranging in price budget. Hotel is clean and has modern conveniences. On 29th floor we has hot water issues at first but running water helped speed up the temperature. Valet is friendly and quick. Everyone is friendly. The M Club is spacious and food is good.
I just wrapped up a three-day stay at the Marriott Rivercenter, and it’s easily my favorite visit to San Antonio yet. Using Bonvoy points and certificates made the booking a great value, but the real highlight was the surprise elite upgrade to the Presidential Suite. It was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully appointed without feeling overly formal. With generous living areas, sofas, a large table, chairs, and two full bathrooms, the suite gave us more than enough room to spread out (check out the photos!). Paired with access to the M Club, it truly felt better than a vacation rental — especially with its prime location right on the River Walk. The views from the 38th floor were spectacular, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the city’s highlights, including the Alamo. I highly recommend the Presidential Suite if you’re looking to splurge and treat yourself in San Antonio. It’s comparably priced to a vacation rental but puts you in the heart of the action with the added perks of hotel service, plus meals, drinks, and snacks in the lounge. Whether you’re traveling with family, friends, or using it as a home base for events, this suite is hard to beat. This was my first time staying in a Presidential Suite, and I definitely hope it won’t be my last. A huge thank you to the entire Marriott Rivercenter team — especially Katelynn at the front desk, who went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed.
Nice hotel. Rooms were clean, everything worked. Staff was friendly. Breakfast buffet is a bit on the expensive side, but the food was excellent. Nice coffee and snack shop. Great location and easy access to the Riverwalk and shops.
The Marriott Riverwalk is the perfect location if you want fast access to the Riverwalk. It's just a short walk to Casa Rio and Alamo Biscuit company and you're there! Also the walk to LA Villita and the Alamo is just a bop and a skip. It's the perfect location if you want to be close to everything. The staff was friendly and helpful. The parking garage access is a little tight if you have a pickup though. But it can be done. They do have valet parking! Rooms are exceptional and clean.
Absolutely beautiful hotel! My girlfriend was here for a conference and I get the privilege to come along and visit new places while she works. The room we had was a bit on the small side but was very nice and had great views of the city. The bed was a bit on the hard side and the pillows very soft and squishy, I prefer the opposite. The bathroom was good size and has a nice walk in shower. There was not much drawer space to put clothing so I opted to live out of my suitcase while giving her the drawers. There is a very nice pool area and workout area as well. Lots of conference rooms and business centers around the hotel. Valet service is available (expensive, in my opinion) or self pay parking which is not much cheaper. I believe you can park across from the hotel in a paid lot for cheaper. We did spring for the "M-club" which gave us access to breakfast, beverages, Hors d'oeuvres, snacks, and a private business center. A short walk out the back of the hotel brings you to the riverwalk area and river center shopping mall with restaurants, sweet shops, clothing shops, and adult beverage places, as well as entry to the riverwalk itself. Tons of shopping and restaurants in walking distance!
