Let me start by saying that every staff member we interacted with was incredibly kind and helpful! We stayed here for 5 nights, and overall had a great experience. The hotel is connected to the Rivercenter Mall, with direct access to the River Walk. It’s also only about a block from the downtown area, where you’ll find plenty of souvenir shops, restaurants, and attractions. The hotel has 38 floors, and we stayed on the 33rd floor. The views were amazing—especially watching the crazy Texas drivers from above! 😂 There were a few minor issues during our stay. One night, the lights and outlets beside our bed stopped working. My mom checked behind the hidden panel and found that they were connected to an extension cord. The extension cord itself hadn’t come unplugged, but after reconnecting the lights through it, everything worked again. One morning, the elevators became very busy because so many people were traveling to and from the nearby convention center for conferences. They shook a little and made some noises, but they still got us where we needed to go, and the issue was resolved fairly quickly. We chose to self-park since it was the more affordable option. One helpful tip: use your room key to enter and exit the parking garage. We didn’t realize this at first and accidentally paid a couple of times before calling the front desk using the help button. They quickly explained how it worked, and after that we had no problems. I also have to mention the feather and down pillows—they were SO comfortable! I seriously need to figure out where Marriott gets them because I want some for my own bed. 😅 The hotel is also within easy walking distance of the convention center, which was a huge plus. A few other things to know: * Microwaves are not available in guest rooms, but there are shared microwaves on the even-numbered floors from 2–16. * There is a designated smoking area with three benches near the front entrance. * When you call the front desk, you’ll initially reach an AI assistant, but you can simply ask to speak with a real person. * During the last two days of our stay, Netflix wasn’t working. The staff let us know they expected it to be fixed within about a week and mentioned they hoped to add more streaming services in the future alongside Netflix, YouTube, and the regular cable channels. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. While there were a few small inconveniences, none of them were major, and the friendly staff and convenient location made up for them. I would definitely recommend staying here! If you book, I’d also recommend creating a Marriott account beforehand so you can get complimentary Wi-Fi and discounted rates on upgraded internet packages.

I stayed at the Marriott Rivercenter in San Antonio with my daughter for a conference. The facility is incredible. The rooms are clean. The entire hotel is spotless. The location is perfect. On top of all this the staff is especially friendly and accommodating. Right from check-in. Eric helped my daughter and I get into our room early. And said he could help when we check out as well. I realized late our first night there that I had left my iPad at the airport. I spoke with the concierge desk. Willis was extremely helpful and offered to go to the lost and found at the airport. He waited there until he was able to get me on the phone to ensure they would release my device to him. He went above and beyond and saved me a lot of hours dealing with the airport staff! I can’t say enough praises about this location and their staff. Truly happy we had the opportunity to stay here and would love to come back for another visit with the rest of the family!

I’m new to staying here for a few nights, but I must say, it’s in a fantastic spot right on the River Walk, making it super easy to get to restaurants and attractions. The hotel was spotless and the staff were so welcoming. The rooms were comfy, though I noticed a few areas that seemed a bit dated, especially the first smell when you open the door. But compared with my friend who stayed in Marriott River Walk with balcony, she lost couple nights sleep due to noise, my room was better located. Overall, it was a very good stay.

We had an amazing time at this hotel. Perfect location on the river near shopping, dining, attractions, and famous neighborhoods. And easy car trips to San Antonio zoo and Pearl area. Staff all around were lovely. The s’more dessert was a highlight. We were on a high floor in a suite. The view was great and very quiet floor. Hotel was very secure with security in lobby and all but main entrance requiring room key 24/7. We hope to be back again soon!

I just wrapped up a three-day stay at the Marriott Rivercenter, and it’s easily my favorite visit to San Antonio yet. Using Bonvoy points and certificates made the booking a great value, but the real highlight was the surprise elite upgrade to the Presidential Suite. It was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully appointed without feeling overly formal. With generous living areas, sofas, a large table, chairs, and two full bathrooms, the suite gave us more than enough room to spread out (check out the photos!). Paired with access to the M Club, it truly felt better than a vacation rental — especially with its prime location right on the River Walk. The views from the 38th floor were spectacular, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the city’s highlights, including the Alamo. I highly recommend the Presidential Suite if you’re looking to splurge and treat yourself in San Antonio. It’s comparably priced to a vacation rental but puts you in the heart of the action with the added perks of hotel service, plus meals, drinks, and snacks in the lounge. Whether you’re traveling with family, friends, or using it as a home base for events, this suite is hard to beat. This was my first time staying in a Presidential Suite, and I definitely hope it won’t be my last. A huge thank you to the entire Marriott Rivercenter team — especially Katelynn at the front desk, who went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed.
