SG sallygalloway Galloway3 weeks agoClose to touristy things (Alamo, Riverwalk, restaurants) and convenient for ride share pick-ups. ~$23 from airport to hotel. Strong French Roast coffee on the breakfast bar a plus! I worked from my room during the week and front desk staff was helpful in getting me set up for that. Pet-friendly and family-friendly translated to loud and noisy early mornings and bedtime. I'd stay again and bring ear plugs.
Austin Reifeis3 weeks agoLet me start by saying the staff has been extremely pleasant, but this has been one of the worst hotel stays ive ever had. I travel a lot for work, stay in a lot of hotels, this hotel is terrible. The lamps are falling off the walls. You can adjust the ac on wither the ac unit or the thermostat. Thats ridiculous. The water in the shower is warm for maybe 5 mins. Everything is dirty, dingy and falling apart. Do what you can to avoid this location. Go stay at hotel 1414 for a much better experience despite longer walk times
C Shannona month agoI am extremely disappointed with the way I was treated at this location. My family and I accidentally went to the La Quinta Inn & Suites San Antonio Riverwalk instead of the La Quinta Inn & Suites Downtown, where our reservation was actually booked. I fully acknowledge that the mistake was ours. However, that does not excuse the way we were treated by the front desk receptionist, Lydia. When I asked whether parking was an additional charge, she responded in a loud, rude, and dismissive tone. Then, after looking up our reservation, she bluntly said, “Y’all are not even booked in this hotel.” Those were her exact words. There was no smile, no courtesy, and no attempt to help us or point us to the correct location. Her attitude made us feel like we were an inconvenience rather than people simply trying to find our reservation. What made the experience even more disappointing was that another employee, the parking attendant, Michael, showed exactly what good customer service looks like. He was kind, friendly, patient, and genuinely helpful. He explained where the correct hotel was, made sure we had the right address, and even went above and beyond by ensuring it was entered correctly into our GPS before we left. His professionalism and kindness completely contrasted with the treatment we received at the front desk. I hope management recognizes employees like Michael and also addresses the customer service provided by Lydia. Every guest deserves to be treated with courtesy and respect, even when they have accidentally gone to the wrong location.
Cheryl Budzisz3 months agoEverything was great. The rooms were very nice and very clean. It's in a great location. The staff was very nice. The continental breakfast was fabulous. Although it may seem not important, the only thing I didn't like were the tiny little square pillows on the bed. They weren't very comfortable. I still would definitely come back.

Rooms clean, but substandard (lights that didn'twork, coffee pot leaked a little, room door needed to be forced open, cabinetdoors didn't close). Location excellent. Bar had limited hours, but good atmosphere and sports on TV. Minutes walk to riverwalk. Pool and hot tub water were fairly clean (water clear but debris). Morning breakfast was average at most, but still clean and hot coffee. If you're there for Lackland AFB graduation, it only a 25 minute Uber, around 23$. Would stay again for the cheap/ affordable price.
