  Wonderful hotel! Staff was extremely kind and helpful and the room was gorgeous and comfortable. Great view of the river from our window as well. I was especially appreciative that they have Electric vehicle charging in the parking garage--an amenity more hotels need!

  I stayed here for a week and it was just fine. The hotel was beautiful and the restaurant and service for breakfast and dinner was great. I checked into a room that was not swept or vacuumed, I asked the front desk twice to please have my room cleaned more thoroughly and it was not done my entire stay.

  As a vendor with Wichita DJ Professionals, we’ve had the opportunity to work events at the Hyatt Regency Wichita, and it consistently stands out as one of the top-tier venues in downtown Wichita. The first thing that sets this venue apart is the location and atmosphere. Sitting right along the Arkansas River and connected to Century II, it gives events a true upscale, city vibe that’s hard to match anywhere else in the area. Whether it’s a wedding reception, corporate gala, or private event, the setting instantly elevates the entire experience. From a production standpoint, the ballroom spaces are excellent. The Grand Eagle Ballroom and surrounding event areas are spacious, clean, and very well laid out for entertainment. There’s plenty of room for a packed dance floor, lighting setups, and a seamless flow between cocktail hour and reception. For DJs and event teams, load-in is smooth, and the staff is always organized and professional. Speaking of staff — the service here is consistently high-level. The coordination teams communicate well, timelines stay on track, and they truly understand how to run polished, high-end events. That makes a huge difference when you’re trying to create an unforgettable night for clients. The hotel itself adds even more value.   Because of work purposes, every so often I have to travel a lot in different parts of the country. Thus I had the opportunity to stay at crappy hotel to 5 star hotels based on business needs. Comparing my experiences with other hotels, I didn't have a good experience in this hotel. I stayed for 5 nights in a Riverview 2 queen bed rooms at this hotel and the following was my experience. Cons: 1. Room was tiny like seriously. 2. No proper ventilation in the bathroom. As soon as i got in the room for first time i could tell that previous guest took a hot shower in that room before and the steam never ventilated properly. 3. Charges 15 usd per night for parking which seems way too much. 4. Fridge was not a mini fridge but a micro fridge. 5. Breakfast is not added. You have to pay extra money for that. 6. No coffee. You have to buy it from coffeshop. The guy running it took 28 minutes to make my coffee (yes i checked cause i got a little frustrated. I get cranky without morning coffee) and she only had 2 customers. 7. What really caused great inconvenience is that they don't provide microwave. I was trying to get to my client meeting in the early morning. I wanted to heat up my left over from night before for breakfast and leave as quickly as i can but no microwave to heat it up. They provide a common microwave for guests but not every floor has it. Now to heat up my food, i have to go up a floor, walk all the way at the end of hallway just to heat up food and back. It's like a 15 minutes endeavor. It's like an indirect way of getting you to pay for breakfast in their restaurant. I asked why they don't have it and they said it is a fire hazard issue as if most other hotels don't have a microwave. The last hotel that i saw did not have a microwave was 6 years ago in NYC. Since then all hotels i have been to had one until this hotel. 8. Riverview is nothing crazy to write about. I am sure they got their excuses and reason for all these. Making those up are easy but for their high rates along with added costs for parking and breakfast, i expected a much better experience. That being said it does have some perks. Pros: 1. Location was great. Most if not all good restaurants are nearby. Only reason i am giving 3 stars. 2. Bathroom was nice if you exclude the proper ventilation problem. 3. Room was clean. Overall, I will never go back to this hotel. Even a 2 star holidays inn express is much better in wichita compared to this one. I am writing this review from holidays inn express in south laura st and rooms are similarly clean as hyatt, free parking, bigger rooms and lo and behold a microwave. I will check if this hotel catches fire everyday because it's such a fire hazard. Smh.

  BEWARE: They WILL give your room away. My partner and I got in late due to a delayed flight. When we got to the desk they informed us that they had overbooked the hotel and the room with a nice view that we booked several months ago was given away. They put us in a room without a view saying it was the last one left. They also let us know that the price we pay is going to be the same as the nicer room they had given away. To make up for it they gave us a voucher for a single coffee... For the two of us. Absolutely ridiculous, avoid this place if you can.
