I’m perplexed why the reviews are so mixed for this hotel. The Hilton Anaheim was recently renovated and our room was excellent! The beds were extremely comfortable (and I’m very particular about mattress comfort). I really enjoyed the walk in shower vs a tub/shower combo which is pretty typical for an older hotel. The lounge was fantastic. Excellent drinks and food. It also had a good vibe. It’s a little over one mile walk to Disneyland, about 15-20min walk.
Spent three nights here this week for work and wanted to stay close to the park to spend the evenings out and about. It has been quite sometime since I have stayed here and thought I would give it a try for a change from my normal hotel. The stay was very nice and the room upgrade was much appreciated. It is huge hotel and attached to the convention center so it is a little busy at times and the lobby is a little loud. All the staff that I interacted with were very nice, friendly and helpful. The room and hotel were clean and well kept. The on thing that I would have liked was a better working area in the room - the desk provided is not all that great. I would stay here again in the future. Thank you Hilton Anaheim staff for the appreciation of a loyal customer.
The Hilton Anaheim delivers everything you expect from the brand — comfortable rooms, reliable service, and the full suite of Hilton amenities and honors benefits you know and trust. But it's the location that truly sets it apart. One of the best kept secrets in the area — especially after the demise of the ART system — is the unbeatable proximity to the Toy Story parking lot. If you time it right, you can grab a coffee and breakfast at the Starbucks inside the hotel and walk out the door with both in hand, ready to conquer the day. From there, the Toy Story lot is just a five minute walk. Here's the real advantage — security at the Toy Story lot is separate from the main Esplanade checkpoint, meaning you clear security before boarding the bus and bypass the main gate security line entirely. Catch the first bus out of the lot right at 7:00 AM and you are genuinely competing for prime rope drop position at both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure alongside Disney resort guests and guests from the neighboring hotels across the street. What makes this location truly special is the sheer number of options it gives you. Walk directly to the parks along Harbor Boulevard, take the Toy Story lot shuttle for the security bypass advantage, use the hotel shuttle, or drive your own car and park at the lot yourself. Few locations give you this kind of flexibility and the Toy Story lot route in particular is a game changer for serious rope droppers who want every possible advantage at park open. For our trip we used the Toy Story lot strategy every morning to maximize our rope drop position. At the end of each day however — after extreme hours of walking and 20,000-plus steps — we relied on the Hilton shuttle or an Uber to get back to the hotel. After a full day in the parks, the last thing your feet need is another half mile of pavement. Highly recommend saving the walk for the morning when your energy is fresh and letting the shuttle or a rideshare carry you home at night. And this advantage isn't unique to the Hilton alone — the entire cluster of hotels surrounding the Anaheim Convention Center shares it. For families who are serious about maximizing their Disneyland experience, staying in this hotel cluster combined with the Toy Story lot strategy is the single best move you can make before you even set foot in the park.
Stayed at the Hilton Anaheim during a trip to Disneyland. The hotel itself is very nice when you first walk in — the lobby and common areas are large, clean, and look great. It definitely gives a good first impression. The room we stayed in had two queen beds and felt a bit tight for four people (two adults and two teenagers). It worked, but the space felt somewhat crowded and not very spacious compared to what we expected. Getting around the hotel was also a little confusing at times. The layout isn’t the easiest to navigate, especially for first-time visitors. Parking and rideshare pickup areas were another challenge. The parking garage was extremely crowded and getting in and out could take some patience. One positive is the location. The distance to Disneyland is actually pretty good — about a 20 to 30 minute walk depending on your pace, which makes it manageable if you don’t want to deal with driving or parking near the park. Overall, the stay was okay, but for the price it didn’t really stand out. It was our first time staying here and likely our last.
It was a beautiful hotel and the location was great. There was only one thing that we thought was odd; the bathroom door was a sliding door and did not fully close. The bathroom was also a little small but good for what we paid. And be careful when you come out of the shower to not fall into the toilet, because it's incredibly tiny. Staff was helpful and super nice. Would come again.
