I'm going to start out with bad stuff, the lobby can get so loud it's damaging to hearing. And no cameras or hotel security if you're a women alone if not risk it. Front doors are unlocked 24/7 and elevators have no room key needed. The room had the air smelling like some sort of mold and we were really stuffed up so I should have slept with the sliding glass door open. My blanket smelled like dirty armpit. That was about it as far as negative stuff. Good stuff is location is killer even though the elevators are really confusing. And I had 10 pillows between two people so we had an awesome pillow fight and the view was stunning. The gym is so so and the pool is all right but it's right next to really noisy restaurant. I did notice that the grow their own microgreens which is pretty fun. I would not like to stay here again I think I prefer the Hilton and other cleaner newer up to date hotels in the area. But the bell boys went above and beyond for customer service checking in with you letting you know pro tips being prompt service and awesome communication. The mattresses were on the firm side I wouldn't say they were even. I tossed and turned a lot.
Stayed at this hotel. At first I couldn’t understand the parking, but it’s in the back, best to check in first and park in the roundabout entry area of the hotel. There was not many staff working the front desk, but they were doing the best with whom they had working at the time. Hotel tool was nice, I can see some niche areas in the room where I stayed at that need repair/maintenance just to up keep the visual attractiveness of the room, mainly the bathroom. The beds were fixed up nicely and everything seemed clean. There was a towel that didn’t look very appealing since it had a stain and they continued to use that towel. I like that they had installed the shampoo, conditioner and body gel on the wall easy to use & convenient. All the staff were friendly and respectful.
Stayed at the Anaheim Marriott this week and the check-in experience completely exceeded expectations, thanks to Hunter Lopez at the front desk. We arrived tired after a long day and Hunter immediately made everything easy. He was genuinely friendly — not the scripted kind of friendly, but someone who actually enjoys what he does. He offered us bottles of water right away, walked us through the hotel amenities, gave clear directions to the convention center (which is literally across the street, super convenient), and answered every question we had about the area, parking, and breakfast options. The best part: without us even asking, he upgraded our room to one with two beds at no extra charge when he saw it would work better for our family. That kind of proactive thinking is rare. Most front desk staff just process you and move on — Hunter actually paid attention. The hotel itself is great for anyone attending events at the Anaheim Convention Center. Clean rooms, solid Marriott standard, good location near Disneyland. But honestly, what made this stay memorable was the service at the front desk. If Marriott is reading this — Hunter Lopez is the kind of employee who turns first-time guests into repeat customers. Promote this guy. Highly recommend the Anaheim Marriott, especially if you’re in town for a convention or visiting Disneyland.
Watch out for this place. If you do stay here, I recommend that before leaving get an itemized list of charges. We stayed during a business convention that was held here . Some days were covered by our business partners and some were on us. Marriott charged us twice each day for parking. VIP and garage. $90 a day. I would not have even looked at the charges if it had not put my account in the negative due to it being far more than the agreed price for the room and parking. After having to review the bill with them and feeling like I had to prove the over charges they did agreed to refund some of the parking fees. Though we were still overcharged for 2 days of parking that we should not have, but by the time I realized it, I was over trying to resolve this and other billing issues we had with them. To top it off they told me the refund will take 7 business days before posting back in my account. If your on a budget 300+ dollars could put you in a bind. So what was already a huge inconvenience is dragged out for a week. What really got me was that they really didnt care about how much of a bind their mistake put me in. And they did nothing else to really try to make up for it. I own a business that is also in the customer service industry. Customers are the heart of your business. And sometime mistakes are made. But when we make a mistake that causes one of our customers even a small inconvenience, not only do we make sure we make it right, we also show our appreciation for their understanding and business. We will either give them a discount right then, or offer a discount for a later time depending on what they prefer or the what best suits the circumstances. This situation has reinforced my belief in going above for a mistake. If they had maybe shown a little remorse for this mistake it would have been something. They put me in a financial bind. It wasn't a small mistake. It was big. And they dont remotely care. If they had I would not taken the time to write this and would have stayed at a Marriott again in the future if their prices were competitive. Not remotely a chance now. The room are way over priced for how small and outdated they are. Then they add all the extra fees. And there were many. More than I have ever seen. Even with the convenience of being located next to Disneyland I am positive there are places that are a better value and just as close if not closer. Air conditioning in the room was terrible. Their restaurant food was not great. Their Salmon was extremely dry and they put tarter sauce next to it. Doesn't white fish goes with tarter sauce? I may be wrong. Drink were good, but they charged the room rather than the business card that we gave them to use for the tab. The valet guys were great. Always available, very polite and their service was fast. 5 stars for them. I'm really not a nitpicker and I rarely write bad reviews but this one I felt was earned.
Fantastic location when attending a convention. Almost as convenient as staying at the Hilton. The room was unremarkable. The seating provided in a spacious room was a simple chair with no ottoman. The shower did not have a handle on the lever which changes between the sprayer and the hand sprayer. There are no hooks in the bathroom for hanging towels or makeup bag. The service and staff were very nice and excellent as always with Marriott.
